I know that but watch the film. they have the same issues. The same red flags. to me burks compares with k-neal harry and harry didn't make it for whatever reason and harry had much better looking film. so does london. burks on film to me is the worst of the 5 likely 1st rounders in burks, london, wilson, williams, and olave. could even be 6 with dotson and i'd take him over burks. burks is gonna be the mistake WR when we look at this draft in the future. on top of that i made this point https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/making-the-case-to-not-draft-a-wr-in-the-1st.97099/ I really think WR at 35 is better and i'm the same person who wanted amon-ra st brown and deebo sameul over 1st round WRs we could have gotten. i'm far from always right but i've been pretty damn accurate with WRs lately. and I never liked the mims pick
Nice job. I love the cameron thomas, jerome ford and Christian harris picks... but come draft - they all likely go earlier vs where you have them being picked. They are all studs. I also think the first two picks are too boom / bust... I could see the Jets taking a more conservative + safer approach like they did last year with vera tucker in round 1... nail the pick... with that thinking - Pick 4 - Sauce Gardner (or maybe Hamilton although i don’t love the a safety this high) Pick 10 - Tyler Linderbaum Then you take - Pick 35/38 - McBride and top WR on your board. I think a big body/athletic guy like Alec Pierce would be a nice fit but not sure where he goes.
GaC your way off on Burks. Time will tell but I have an excellent memory and I will remind you of your analysis. As you can remind me on London. I will be right on both I extremely confident 2-3 years from now.
trust me i'll remember lol. I could be wrong. never said I was perfect but my track record for WRs as of late has been pretty legit.
Time will tell. Let’s just agree that we want the Jets to get the best one whoever it might be. I think we get a WR within the fist 4 picks.
Of course and i trust in JD. i'll give him the benefit of the doubt regardless. i think he's earned it
Here is my opinion on JD. His first draft was Gase inspired and it was a dumpster fire. Can’t give him much credit there. He made some excellent trades getting FULL value (Darnold/Adams). Second draft was better but not a break out super star yet. third draft tbd..
On the money. This draft HAS to be the one. Has to. Get it right, then one more, then you're going places, you haven't been to in a LONG time..... HOPEFULLY...
JFM is going to kick back inside after Lawson comes back and the Jets take an edge at 4 or 10, but I do think the Jets are going to target a run stuffing IDL in the 2nd or 3rd round.
yeah i'm willing to give a pass to 2020 since he was drafting for gase and GW. sill obviously not a good one. I still have faith in becton personally. but outside of him it's been rough. mims is a bust, davis the jury is out on but seems to be a zone safety only and likely depth. zuniga was a bust, perine a bust, morgan a bust, clark retired due to injury and never played a real snap for us. hall was a gem though and mann is a solid punter but still not a great haul. 2021 looks great though. wilson I think has unlimited potential. AVT is a stud alrready, moore is a stud already, carter is a stud already. echols has potential and wasn't a bad rookie CB2, carter II is a nice slot guy. we could even get something out of the other late guys like pinnock, sherwood, and nasrildean. maybe marshall can be a solid depth DT
