I said last week this made sense for both teams. Apparently, the compensation is Indy's 3rd rounder this year.
It made more sense when they were getting Watson. Does ATL get a new QB this year are do they hit the gutter for a pick next year?
NYG (5&7), CAR (6), ATL (8), SEA (9), HOU (12) could all look to draft a new QB of the future. Any chance one gets really desperate and looks to move up to #4 to reach for one? I think it's doubtful, but one could dream.
Even trade for the Colts I think, although Ryan has declined a bit. This makes Baker Mayfield to the Seahawks much more likely. Pete Carroll is used to dealing with a little Napoleon-type as his star QB. He probably isn't as worried about Mayfield's ego as a lot of other teams.
Atlanta is on the tank. The division is about to be wide open after Brady really really retires. Atlanta is looking to set up for 2 years for now
