Also, for you Jets fans that are going to the game, I hope you are planning to tailgate AFTER the game as well. Because you won't be going anywhere for awhile by car.
Man, I really wish I could go to the game, but I'm away on business and nowhere near Boston. I love road trips, too. Bah. We'll meet again next season in the playoffs.
if anyone is lookin for an extra ticket that wants to sit next to 3 college jets fans, i have on.. 50 yard line 16 rows off the field.. only bad thing is its patriots side line.. PM me or email me at yanks3325@yahoo.com.. i dont want to have to sell it up there.. but if worse comes to worse i will have to.. let me kno..
I got about 8-10 people together for a tailgate, we're gonna shoot for that P-8 lot at about 9-9:10. If anyone's interested in joining in, let me know.
While I would love to stay and tailgate after, I really do have to get back to NY and I'm worried about sitting in hours of traffic exiting the stadium. Would my best bet be driving to Providence and taking the train back and forth from the stadium? I know I'd have to leave right after the game but it would be worth it to avoid all the traffic. Anyone have any insight?
I'm not real familiar with the train, but I believe it only takes you in and out of South Station in Boston. No access to Providence.
yoyoyo-my friends dad knew some guy that was trying to get rid of them cause he was on vacation.. he lives in mass, so he had the tix for a while.. so we ponied up the extra cash and got them.. we still have that extra tho
The gillette stadium website said that there was service from both Providence and South Station (http://www.gillettestadium.com/stadium_information/index.cfm?ac=directions). I just called MBTA to confirm and the agent basically gave me the exact information that's listed on that page. I think I'll be taking the train from Providence. The stories of exiting the stadium are freaking me out and it will hopefully save me from a long walk back to the car since I'm sure I'd end up in one of those far lots.
Create a poll? Any chance the orignal poster or someone (I have less than 50 posts so I'm out) can create a poll to get an idea of how many fans will be up there? Something like: Going to Foxboro for the game? 1. Going with a friend 2. Going with a group of 3+ 3. Going with a group of 5+ 4. Not going
im going with three other friends sitting in 135 first time being there is there any good places to hang and how bad are the patriot fans there
Where are you staying? Not much in Foxboro area. Head past the stadium towards Boston on Rt 1 and you'll find some sports bars. As to the fans, luckily it's an early game. If you or anyone in the group is obnoxious, it could get loud. Usually friendly banter is the rule though. If you have a problem, get security. The real drunks will have to work hard to get their blood alcohol numbers up in the 'limited' time they have. If it had been a night game? Stay home.
