They have an out after 3 years, in essence paying $22mm per year. It’s not ridiculously above market.
Thanks! I'd like to know the cap savings for GVR and for Griffin (separately) if they are cut. I don't know why it isn't working. I used it earlier this spring/winter and it worked fine, but today and about a week ago when I clicked on it, it goes to OTC, but doesn't show any Jets data, just the Jets heading. I thought maybe there was a new bookmark, so I even tried googling it and clicking on that link, and still nothing. Thanks again.
Robert Woods to the Titans for a fucking 6th round pick. I'm a big time Joe Douglas supporter but for the first time I'm genuinely confused as to what the fuck his master plan is at WR. He better be ready to double dip at WR at 10 and 35 or 38 because having Berrios and Mims as the 3 and 4 on this team is unacceptable.
If the receivers in the draft were all that great teams wouldn't be as aggressive now. A big time receiver might not be JD's priority right now.
I have a feeling that based off last year, we have enough players coming off injuries, that trading and signing more players coming off big injuries isn't going to happen this year. We need a WR thats obvious, but one that's a clear upgrade on Davis. Without going into stats etc, the Rams chose Allen Robinson over Woods, which says what they think about Woods. I’m right there with you. Woods may not have been a long-term answer at WR but he would’ve helped our WR room a ton for dirt cheap. This was a bad miss by JD IMO.
I can’t be upset about the Woods trade. 30, coming off an ACL tear, due a decent amount of money this year. Don’t even care that the compensation was nothing. the move I’ll forever be perplexed about is passing on Cooper especially considering how the Browns restructured his deal… which everyone saw coming.
Can't let one injury to a receiver put Jeff Smith or Tarik Black on the field again. The Jets have 3 receivers and Denzel Mims; not good enough.
Thanks, so much! So cutting those two plus Rankins would give us about $12 million in cap room, but at this point, I'm not certain there's anyone the Jets might want to sign. There could be cuts following the draft, and camp cuts, however, and JD could always carry the money over to next year if he did cut them. Are there any decent quality depth-type OL still out there in FA or any DTs you like? Thanks again.
I think it’s a lock we will be taking a WR within the first 4 picks. I think it goes something like this. 10. Burks/Wilson 34/38 - Olave/Williams/Pickens/Dotson
I think Arden Key and Kerry Hyder are real possibilities, both would be good depth peices /rotational players.
