I predicted the highest inflation of our lifetimes. It's different because bear market cycles happen every decade or so. Highest inflation of our lifetimes doesn't happen that often.
To be fair...Soxx was screaming this shit... Then again... all it takes is a cursory knowledge of economics to understand that the more there is of something, the less valuable it is.
That’s why I asked, I already knew inflation was going to happen. The pandemic caused a ripple effect that we are dealing with today. Seeing these economic cycles over a period of time helps us to prepare. It’s why I don’t change the way I live, I don’t spend more when times are good. My father taught me to save more when times were good because those times will not last and I would have a surplus to help deal with difficult times.
I'm a bit of a grasshopper rather than an ant when it comes to savings... but I will hedge my spending in various ways. Shedding material things is my next agenda. I have too many cars/bikes and way too many watches...
Its the highest inflation of my life, since im in my 20s...... If you used the CPI numbers they used in the 70s, its almost at the same levels. In the early 1900s inflation was higher, but they backtracked and calculated that number. Regardless I believe the inflation storm is about to much worse, this is just the beginning. Yep, I warned people this was all coming years ago, while the government lied to everyone's faces. I wanted to help people, that was my only goal. I was trying to help and protect as many people as possible.
