I think the jets want him. I think he's a great fit in the d line, and I could see them taking him at 10. Its just my opinion..what do you think?

I think it's been generally accepted since the combine freak show he put on that he'll be gone before 10, and if the Jets want him they have to take him at 4.

He is going to make some team very happy!!

Walker is from my hometown in Georgia and I've talked to him a couple of times. He seems like a polite young man ... unless you're toting the ball for the other team.

I was just going to make a thread. Travon Walker will be the pick at #4. We will probably even take him over KT.

#10 will be GW or DL.

How likely that the 4th pick will be a trade down.

What prospect is a team dying to get ahold of? Maybe someone really wants O’Neal or KT, but I don’t see a trade up. If the QB class was stronger then maybe.

You are probably right, although there will be a mad rush for Edge help I’m guessing.

    I don't think T. Walker is our pick at #4 or #10.

Unlikely. More likely one of the EDGE guys are still there at 10 and they can move down from there.

I'm starting to get the feeling Walker is a real dark horse candidate to be the pick at #4.

Apparently NFL teams are really high on him, with many of them considering him the 2nd best EDGE prospect behind Hutch. He's got prototypical size for a 4-3 DE and is more physical than KT without the alleged character concerns (I don't know if those are true but if there's enough smoke...?).

Walker also produced more at Georgia at a younger age than Jermaine Johnson did in the same defense.

Walker is raw as a pass rusher but already pretty good vs. the run, and he's got more than enough athleticism and is young enough to grow into the pass rushing role.

Honestly not sure how I'd feel about him at #4, but the more I think about it the more I think there's a real possibility he'll end up being our pick there.

Daniel Jeremiah was just on NFL Network and he has Walker to the Jets at #4. Was raving about him.

Interesting, he's usually pretty tuned in with what Douglas is thinking too.

Yeah, I was thinking that as well. He had the Jets taking Wilson at 10, for what it's worth.

I have no where near the NFL experience this guys has, but he makes some good points about pass rushing numbers. His list of guys he prefers is pretty good as well.

If he’s there in second round I say grab him but not at 4 or 10.

Yeah Walker is definitely not a good pass rusher currently. I guess the hope would be that he could develop moves quickly and be a good run defender in the interim. He's got crazy physical traits so if he learns some pass rushing moves he could be a force, it just seems risky to bank on that happening at #4. A lot of really athletic guys never learn pass rushing techniques.

Unfortunately I think if we want him it has to be at #4 because he's probably not making it to #10.

Thanks! This would a be a classic Macc pick in the first round.

Now, if Thibodeaux is gone, maybe, I could see taking Walker at 10 after taking Ekwonu or Neal at 4, and then taking one of the "second tier" Edges with their 3rd or 4th pick (using the other pick for WR). This would allow them to play Walker at a DT which he sounds better suited as, and still get the Edge they need.
