With Williams off the board now, I'm very intrigued to see who JD targets next. My guess would be a DB, either Gilmore or their next favorite S option (Whitehead, Edmunds, etc.).
We missed out on some of the bigger names but I am feeling good about most of what we have done so far.
I am not sure. Athletically the Oregon kid is a freak at least was at the combine for the workouts he actually did.
Coleman does nothing for this team. You can get a better running back in the 5th round. There are much better options coming out this year in the draft. Guys that are more physical, faster and we need a guy for sure who can get us that 1 to 3 yards to keep the chain moving. Coleman and Carter are not those types.
The two highest rushers on the 49ers barely got over 1000 yards combined. The rest were 28 yards, 18.6, 327, 13, 24, and 16. I expect those numbers to follow to the Jets...yikes.
i know you aren't talking about me. and if you are you are badly wrong. go look at my posts. i've been screaming for him since the season ended. I also have a friend who's a die hard niners fan oh and his kid is a sportswriter for the niners and a die hard niners fan. so wanna try that again? we can also use that pick on somehting else. coleman is a veteran leader who knows the system, cost almost nothing and can mentor carter and help him work on pass protection. coelman also still has wheels if you give him a hole and is the backup KR to berrios. all for 1.5 mil which is basically nothing. it also doesn't stop us from drafting a RB
Did your friend who doesn’t look shit up tell you this too? Because if you looked it up, you’d see the Niners finished 7th in rushing yards and 5th in rushing TDs. We can only hope that follows to the Jets.
You are working under the assumption that the Jets are the only team in free agency, and the most desirable destination to boot. It’s not that simple. I think JD did an admirable job and did not over paid all to hell like Jax to get them.
It goes both ways. The Jets have spent lavishly before and didn't go anywhere. Recently they're frugal and they still arent' going anywhere. I prefer the draft but that is a long process.
The Lions traded away Laken Tomlinson to the 49ers at the beginning of the year for a fifth-round pick. Our friends over at Niners Nation haven’t been too happy with how Tomlinson has played through eight games, saying he’s “not the answer at left guard. Or right guard. Or anywhere else.”
