We should be all over this. Saleh was his coach as a rookie, there’s a connection. You can probably get him for right around average starter money (which he is but everyone is overpaid in free agency).
Jack could make some sense as a vet addition. Not sure how foo Sherwood and Nasirilideen don't seem ready to start. Familiarity with Saleh is helpful though it doesn't mean Saleh likes him, just that he's known to him.
I could be completely making this up or just thinking of someone else but weren’t there reports of attitude issues with Jack when he was a rookie? regardless I would go after him. Makes way too much sense.
Our D could be much improved if we can get Williams. I would then go Pass rush at 4 and Sauce next pick, TE/WR in any order after that. I know people will go crazy not picking a WR in the first, but I think we could still get a good one later on in a deep draft at that position and Sauce is a lockdown corner. We would revamp the entire secondary, while also having a good pass rush. Imagine Sauce, Hall, Williams and the other young hungry guys in the backfield. Then possibly Hutch or KT with Lawson if healthy and Q JFM and crew.
Yep, this is what I'm thinking (probably would need to be closer to 15). Much more and they should pivot to a Jordan Whitehead or Jayron Kearse, who would also be huge upgrades. The guy sounds like a very good FS who would be a great addition, but he's not Ed Reed
I think he just had a big chip on his shoulder due to dropping in the draft due to his injury (wouldve been a solid 1st rounder)
Watson meets with Browns… that’s where I would go if I were him. OL, Amari Cooper, Run game, defense… I know the AFC is loaded but if he went to Panthers or Saints he is in the same division as Tom Brady anyway

I though he might be too, and initially I would have been very happy with that, but yesterday I read something, somewhere (that wasn't posted by a fan) that said that Chark doesn't like contact and shies away from it. That doesn't sound like the kind of player that JD, Saleh, or MLF would have wanted. Many fans would have been OK with that. They're content with half-assed measures just to give them confidence that the Jets are improving. JD and the Jets aren't interested in half-assed improvement or moves. They have a plan. They are being very deliberate in the types of players they sign in FA: high character, love football, strong work ethic, complete players, great in the lockerroom, talented, solid pros, and are eschewing the big-name, splashy moves that would get them on the back pages of the tabloids. They are trying to win on the field during the season, not win the offseason.
Word. I couldn't believe any Jets fans wanted him. He can't stay healthy. The Jags are insane paying him that kind of coin for 7-8 games a season.
Interesting... much less than Tomlinson. We definitely got the better player but Daniels is only 26 and cheaper... that was my preference.
That really isn't true, except for the last 20 years or so. Their history is full of excellent/very good WRs: Maynard, Sauer Jr., Toon, Walker, Chrebet, Johnson, Carpenter, Coles, Moss, Cotchery, Rob Moore, and there may be others I can't think of at the moment.
