Agreed. A depth/role player signing could be fine, but they have three of their top four receivers already so a high draft pick to the mix would make sense. They're not going to make a big splash at WR and draft one in the top 40 IMO. Too many mouths to feed and not sure that would make the Jets an attractive destination. Berrios was signed to be more than a #5 WR
We gave Corey Davis 37 mill last year. That Kirk deal is a horrible horrible mess. Is he even a top 20 WR? Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
When was the last time the Jets had average TE play? 2011 w/Dustin Keller? 2017 ASJ? The position has been a black hole for far too long. Gotta add a day 2 TE like McBride or Ruckert with a veteran.
Agreed. And unless they really love Kenny Yeboah, they should sign a veteran and potentially draft two TEs, one on Day 2 and another on Day 3. TE market thinning out. Maxx Williams and Uzomah still around. Hayden Hurst could be a good signing too. Also Engram & Everett among others though more wary of them. So IMO they need to take advantage of the relative depth at TE in this draft.
So Jacksonville pays a young emerging playmaking WR $18 mil and they are dumb. But the Jets pay a 30 year old guard $14 mil and they are smart?
You're really downplaying It by a lot I would suggest... One guy Is a stud, proven at his position. The other guy has barely had WR2 type of an impact for his prior team. ...but, yeah, solid move JAX I guess? lol
