meh on DJ Reed but if we can bring in the other 3 guys that would be huge. Interesting but not surprising that we have interest in Oluokon. Only 26, played under Ulbrich when he had his breakout year, 192 tackles (insanity) led the league… but he’s gonna cost over $10 mil and he plays the same position as Mosley. Good lord the two of them together would be beastly though.
Nah banned from twitter because they hate the word cunt more than some folk on here and they class paedophilia as a genuine sexual orientation and they banned me for saying the perverted cunts should be branded with a P on their foreheads, so children would know to keep well away from them. Probably for the best, it was a horrible toxic place anyway. Hey, I don't mind complaining or a bit of sarcasm but not from the same guy 20 times in one thread You see the thing is, we get zero news in the UK so we have no choice but to get our news from places like here and on day 1 of FA I was hoping for some better news than you were delivering tbh
I agree, the receiving corps is fine. There are several positions that are in greater need of an upgrade
Oh come on man ffs Draft 1 JD and GASE = shit draft no gase Draft 2 JD and Saleh = vastly improved, not going to say brilliant as the best two have had their share of injury probs but probably the best draft we have had for many years. So he is, like you suggest 1 from 2 but blatantly trending in the right direction, any direction moving away from Gase was going to be the right direction really.
Is that a tax thing, or just because? Never quite understood why the NFL doesn't adjust the cap for state taxes so its a level playing field.
I like some of the names we're hearing thrown out. James Daniels would be fantastic. I'm encouraged that they're interested in corners - I like letting their current group develop, but also think another legitimate starter would make a difference. I wonder how serious their interest in Marcus Williams is. I find it hard to believe they'd pay $15m/yr for a safety. I'm feeling that Berrios may sign elsewhere, which would be a bummer. If he does, I hope they go for a starting WR (maybe a Russell Gage or DJ Chark) and then draft another within the top 40.
Both. Taxes are a lot lower in Florida and the guy's entire life has been in Miami. He'd love to go home -- thats an interesting proposal, I dont know how that would work. I believe the player is paid by the game and state taxes are taken out according to which state he performed in
If you can have that kind of faith in a Jets GM then more power to you. Fool me once… I’m not saying it’s impossible or even unlikely I’m just saying it should be hard for anyone to just fully expect us to nail the draft and that’s what we’re going to have to do.
Za’Darius Smith released. Would be a nice pick up opposite Lawson. Get me smith Honey badger and a linebacker. Buy a defense draft an offense
Smith will have good offers from contenders. Wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up right back in Baltimore
I'd be surprised if the Jets pursued an edge in free agency with Lawson and JFM on huge contracts and Quinnen the next in line potentially. Plus, this is a great draft for edge rushers so I expect this to be addressed with one of their first four picks. On a related note, I'm excited to get Lawson back. If he's back at full health he could be a game changer for this defense. I'm remembering how great of an offseason, but we never got to see him play
Gross. Paying big money to an aging player who can’t stay healthy is not the greatest game plan I’ve ever heard.
