I didn’t think we’d have a problem with Shultz until it came out Jarwin may never play another snap again in the NFL. Now I’m thinking Williams, Ertz or Maybe Hurst
My point is the Bears need all the help they can get there; letting Daniels get away just makes the job tougher. I'd be happy to see him signed here but I don't think it's gonna happen, regardless of what a dozen or so JAGs on Twitter have to say.
I predict we are going to get jamal adams back for next to nothing and he is going to return to being the premiere safety he once was.
Now that some players are tagged I’m updating my prediction thread. DE (Jets sign Hunter, Houston, or Ingram to a team friendly contract) LB Bobby Wagner 2 OG/C Jets snag C Ryan Jensen and LDT/ James Daniels and keep McGoven as the swing IOL TE Max Williams
Depends what you expected to start with really. You have a GM that said his plan was to build mainly through the draft. I guess the clue to signing flashy FA's is in there somewhere. Hopefully, he is saving his bag of cash for Njoku, now that would make me happy.
The Jets will sign a larger number of free agents, but none of them will be big names or big contracts.
Might be conflating hope with predictions, but here's my 20-second mock: SIGN: WR Russell Gage, TE CJ Uzomah, RG James Daniels, DT DJ Jones, CB DJ Reed RELEASE: Sheldon Rankins, GVR, Ryan Griffin DRAFT: 1. Kyle Hamilton, S 1. Jermaine Johnson, DE 2. Jalen Tolbert, WR 2. Trey McBride, TE 3. Cole Strange, iOL 4. Jelani Woods, TE 4. Tyler Allegier, RB 5. Cade York, K 5. Kyle Phillips, WR
There will be one signing this board likes, but disappoints and another signing the board doesn't like, but plays better than expected.
I predict that JD is going to have a killer FA filling a lot of our needs with above average/very good starters at very reasonable prices. Hopefully it will serve to shut up all JD's naysayers about how he handles FA and whether he is a good/great GM.
