I get it. poor production in away games, (if he gets released) released from a etam that traded a 1st for him and gave him a 100 million dollar contract. I get the red flags. but he is an elite route runner with downfield speed and would be an instant WR1 for us to pair with moore and davis.
The rep of being lazy and taking off plays is more what I have an issue with. I’ve never met him personally, but if the rumors are true, I don’t think he’s the type of player we want on the team… esp. not the highest paid player on the team.
maybe he is maybe he isn't. it was 1 ex teammate who said it. Dallas thought enough to trade a 1st and pay him 20 mil a year. his numbers and film kinda speak for itself. plus you have to trust in saleh to motivate his team

I get the red flags. not like i'm drooling over him. plus it seems quite a few teams are ready to throw the bag at him so it's very likely not to be on the jets radar. I think we should look at the solid T2 guys like a chark or quandre diggs at safety. definitely want to look at laken tomlinson or james daniels on the o-line. either would fix our RG spot finally. Nobody this offseason really screams throw the bag at them. But I wouldn't be upset if we went hard at o-line since we have 2 rookies on contract and grabbed jenson and daniels and maybe traded mcgovern pick. that means the o-line won't be a priority in the draft and it would look like this Becton, AVT, Jensen, Daniels, Fant. One move I do think we should have made though was trading for mack. Chargers only gave up a 2nd. he would have fixed the edge issues right away. and we still could have drafted one. mack and lawson off the edge. move JFM to DT along with Q.
I agree with everything except Fant is better in the left and needs to stay there. After thinking about the Mack trade, his cap numbers and the value of our 2nd round pick, I can see why JD wouldn’t make that move. Hunter for a 2023 5th is more a JD move.
All 31 teams will call Wagner's agent at least to get a feel. He's been an elite player a majority of his career. However as he already has a ring, maybe he's looking for money over a chance or maybe not. Sometimes with players like this, it's nice for them to say go to the Packers and go get another.
