I disagree i think ole daddy joe handled it well. Ukraine can become a quagmore for russia, russia is more isolated than ever, and we are not at war. Sounds pretty good to me. You can't fight all the wars you want, it's bad for business.

Not before a Soviet submarine almost started a global nuclear war. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Arkhipov You want to chance that again?

I liked your post but not for why you think!

To galvanize the Russian military against their Leader you have to show you mean business

No one wants to start a Nuclear war ..that could actually work FOR you not against you

But if you continue to back down the enemy has the edge..right now Putin is dictating US Policy not the other way around!

Just saw a military expert on CNN say eventually the war gets closer to W Ukraine and Poland ..coming close to NATO/ US airspace..and Poland once part of Putins old Russia

What's our military posture then at that point?. It's a Kennedy moment my friend ...declaring a no fly zone may be coming soon whether we want it or not

I agree in the long run Russia made a big mistake here, but I’m not passive about the Ukrainian people being the sacrifice. I don’t what the answers are though

In the end, if Putin wants a nuclear war, he'll get it because he can launch nukes anytime he wants. But assuming he doesn't want a nuclear war, then the biggest risk is that an accident leads to one, and accidents occur when one or both sides aren't behaving predictably. Because Ukraine isn't part of NATO, declaring a no fly zone over it would be unpredictable. Whereas if Russia is dumb enough to invade Poland, then yes we have to go to war with them, but Putin will know this, which means it's less likely that a war there would go nuclear.

I could be wrong, but I think the sanctions and tanking of his economy are more likely to drive him to nuclear war than defending Ukraine would have been.

So your plan is to continue to refer to me as Akkkad... even though I've told you to cease?

I do not know anything about war but is it wrong to say that Russia street cred about their military is taking a beating at this moment? They don't even seem close to be able to take half of europe at this point.

When you do this, you’re inviting mean things to be said back to you. So don’t hit the report button when it comes back your way.

You used to post pictures of mass shooters and say they were me, Akkkad. The ship of gentlemanly discourse has sailed, neither of us are aboard. Why so sensitive about this Akkkie.

Anyway looks like an encirclement campaign is under way in the east, if it works the ruskies will has half the ukrainian military surrounded. We'll see what the next few days bring

I was able to see this. Sometimes people giggle or laugh inappropriately in all the wrong places when they're nervous. I'm thinking this isn't that. Probably just clueless. o_O
