The lemonade stand my neighbors kid was using is selling lemonade for $2.50 a cup. It used to be .50 cents, he said gas prices caused him to increase prices….
It’s still undetermined what the actual benefit is if EV’s and green energy. Below breaks it down in a fair way to both sides I think. https://www.autoweek.com/news/green-cars/a1709966/will-some-gas-and-diesel-cars-still-produce-less-pollution-evs/ I think there’s a common misconception that American’s or right wing American’s are against it. It’s not that they’re against it, it’s that they believe the free market should dictate the change and it is. You’re right, Tesla isn’t the only one anymore. What a lot of right Americans believe is that they shouldn’t be subjected to regulations to force them to make the change. We’re all going to be driving electric cars eventually. My next car (within 3-4 years) likely will be. But the technology to run the country solely on “green” energy is not at all there and it will be the middle and lower classes that have to foot a bill that they can’t afford with such things.
True.... but there's alot more to making vehicles more efficient than just making them electric/battery powered. The technology is already there...... Unfortunately rollback of of fuel consumption standards/goals by the previous administration slowed this down a bit. FTR... I've been driving the same 4banger 5Speed Nissan Frontier for the past 22 years (well, 22 in September)
yep.... and been beaten like a rented mule.... finally had to replace the OG clutch. I call it the "Silver Burro" (it's no bullet, can still scoot ) but has done things a 4cyl vehicle wasnt meant to
Well..... considering it's lived with a 1/2 mile of the ocean its whole life.... I did fully undercoat it with like 12 cans of 3m undercoat 2 weeks after I bought it, but it probably wouldnt pass an exhaust emission at this point (I got tired of chasing the gremlin EGR code... that was just a .50 piece of hose that breaks (but is burried under a bunch of shit that has to be removed)
Yeah... me too. Pretty sure it's a Tatra... which is actually Czech... I was gonna post a picture of a crummy Russian car but I saw that and couldn't resist.
Now that crude dropped back down to about 10 bucks above the pre-Ukraine invasion price are we actually going to see a decrease.....or will there be more excuses?
I just paid this an hour ago up by me. I only posted the picture instead of just saying it because of what some prankster did. No politics, I know, but still funny:
Paid $60 in gas tonight for the first time ever. Oil production needs to be increased. Kinda hard though when the government is hostile toward oil companies and want to implement regulation and add more taxes......
