This blizzard has no relevance at all to the late fall/early winter weather that did in both advances on Moscow.

The reality is that the best we in the West can hope for is that Putin gets bogged down in Ukraine after taking most of the population centers and then stumbles around for a few years. It's a lot easier to conquer a place than to hold it against determined resistance.

This assuming Putin doesn't get frustrated and just drop thermobaric munitions all over the place until there are no civilians left for the resistance to form around. This is the Syrian strategy and it is why that country is a bombed out hellhole that self-immolates every 20 years like clockwork.

What's the point of parsing about a harmless observation? All I said is that it was uncanny. Geez, Louise.

EDIT: Autocorrect from parsing to parsley. Goddamn it.

The weather could definitely have an impact.

Surface to air missiles are unaffected by weather as they rely on radar. At the same time low visibility requires pilots to get closer to find their targets. The combination is great for defenders. It’s why we had so much trouble in the mountains of Afghanistan

They said on the news that Russia has been lucky so far as Ukraine has seen unseasonably better weather. Until now

It's beyond sad at this point...

I switched propane companies in August because the one I had just sucked (ran me out of gas in the middle of last winter when I was on automatic delivery.) I got a bigger tank from the new company and had it buried. I also locked in at $1.89 a gallon

Yet no mention of the idiocy on the other side of the aisle. Typical.

Not defending Creepy Joe, but I think everyone is fairly equal on the idiot faux pas meter. I think we can all clink glasses on that.

I see you worked very hard on your one sided observation. Again, it’s all so typical for your side of the aisle.

21 Ukrainians killed in Kharkiv , over 100 wounded. Possibly some Russian planes shot down

The Ukrainians are reporting 5,300 Russian troops killed. I am totally calling hornet on that figure.

Could totally be Hornet, but I'm fine with Ukraine out-propagandizing Putin.

The Russians officially admitted 498 dead on their side. So, the real number is probably somewhere in between. Around 3,000?

I'd be shocked if it's anything near that high. I'd be curious what some of you who have served in the military think about that alleged burn rate? I have to think Russia's tactics would have changed dramatically if that were accurate.
