    3. 1st Round

1.1 JAC: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
-With Amari Cooper in the fold, the Jaguars now can add the LT Trevor Lawrence needs.

1.2 DET: Aidan Hutchinson, ED, Michigan
-The top player on the board, and they need a pass rusher.

1.3 HOU: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State
-The Texans under Lovie Smith want to run the ball dominantly, and there is zero chance of that without a major OL investment. Ekwonu can fit in at any position, and may be the future LT at some point.

1.4 NYJ: Kayvon Thibodeaux, ED, Oregon
-The Jets haven’t made a high pick at ED in years, and now they get one of the best in the draft.

1.5 NYG: Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU
-The Giants’ new DC is Wink Martindale from the Ravens. His ideology is get top CB’s, man cover and blitz for pressure. Now they have one to pair with Bradberry.

1.6 HOU: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
-The Texans made an investment to run the ball, now they make their investment to create turnovers (their main defensive tenant.)

1.7 NYG: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
-The Giants can now move Andrew Thomas to RT, and insert Cross as their elite pass protecting LT. Daboll is a pass first offensive coach, and this give Daniel Jones a legit OL and a legit shot to prove himself.

1.8 ATL: Jordan Davis, NT, Georgia
-The Falcons have struggled to stop the run, and they’ve seen firsthand what Vea can do from the nose. Davis gives them a boost against McCaffrey, Kamara, and the elite OL’s of Tampa and New Orleans. He fits right into Dean Pees’ defense.

1.9 DEN: David Ojabo, ED, Michigan
-With a starting QB in place, the Broncos can bring in a rusher to pair with Bradley Chubb. Ojabo may be raw vs the run, but they need him to rush the passer.

1.10 PIT: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
-The Steelers don’t end up with a vet QB, but they trade up to get their guy in front of the Commanders. They’ve been punished by Lamar Jackson for 4 years and they want to get their own version.

    PIT Receives:
    -1.10
    NYJ Receive:
    -1.20
    -3.84
    -2023 1st

1.11 WAS: Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
-The Commanders take QB2 and finally give Ron Rivera something to really work with after 2 years of Dwayne Haskins and Taylor Heinecke.

1.12 MIN: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
-The Vikings were QB hunting but end up with Gardner, and he fills a major need for them.

1.13 CLE: Jermaine Johnson II, ED, Florida State
-The Browns addressed QB with their trade for Calvin Ridley, so now they can replace Clowney with another big time player opposite of Garrett.

1.14. BAL: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
-With a new contract for Lamar Jackson approaching, it will be hard to keep Marcus Peters for long. Booth gives Humphrey his new running mate.

1.15 PHI: George Karlaftis, ED, Purdue
-The Eagles love trenches, and pass rushers in particular. Barnett is a FA, and Graham is aging. This gives them a new pair of rushers along with Josh Sweat.

1.16 PHI: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
-With so many 1sts, the Eagles can afford to dip back into the WR pot for a 3rd year. Burks can be a nasty gadget player to add to their already exceptional run game, and make life easy for Jalen Hurts.

1.17 LAC: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
-Although he may not be ready week 1, this Uber explosive WR is exactly what the Chargers downfield passing offense needs to keep up with the Chiefs.

1.18 LV: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
-The Raiders move up above the Jets and Patriots to ensure they get their preferred WR. Wilson is a huge help to McDaniels new offense that has a few pieces, but needs a perimeter WR.

    LV Receives:
    -1.18
    NO Receives:
    -1.22
    -4.125
    -5.164

1.19 PHI: Zion Johnson, G, Boston College
-While everyone wants to peg Linderbaum to the Eagles, Johnson makes much more sense. They already have Landon Dickerson who played G in 2021 but is an excellent C. Johnson can play all 5 positions, and will be a chess piece when players get injured.

1.20 NYJ: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
-The Jets get their CB1 in McDuffie, who excels in the bail technique which is the Jets’ favorite CB technique. He is an excellent zone CB, and is a perfect fit for the scheme. He can also play man when necessary, and likes to get in on run defense.

1.21 NE: Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn
-The Patriots need a CB who excels in man coverage to help face the Bills’ and Chiefs’ WR’s without getting smoked in their preferred coverages. McCreary is maybe the best pure man CB outside of Stingley in the draft.

1.22 NO: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
-The Saints need to stockpile draft picks to get through their tough cap situation. The trade back allows them to accumulate a few more picks and still take a top WR.

    1.23 ARI: Kenyon Green, G, Texas A&M
-The Cardinals need to get better up front, and Green instantly improves the interior. He can also potentially play RT.

1.24 DAL: Travon Walker, ED, Georgia
-The Cowboys didn’t trade Demarcus Lawrence before the draft, but it could happen later. Either way, Walker is a big help to their DL.

1.25 BUF: Devante Wyatt, IDL, Georgia
-The Bills went heavy on ED last year, and now they want to improve the interior Rush. Wyatt had a nasty Senior Bowl and boosted his stock into almost sure 1st round status.

1.26 NYJ: Drake London, WR, USC
-The Jets are eyeing a big bodied WR, and with 9 picks to start with, they didn’t really need more. Moving back with the Steelers got them a future 1st, but now they can use the extra 3rd to go up and grab the 6’5” ball winner. London can play big slot for them, meaning he and Moore can move inside and outside interchangeably.

    NYJ Receive:
    -1.26
    TEN Receive:
    -2.35
    -3.84

1.27 TB: DeMarvin Leal, IDL, Texas A&M
-The Buccaneers will probably say goodbye to Pierre-Paul and Suh this off-season. They drafted Tryon-Shoyinka last year, and this year the pick Leal to do some interior damage.

1.28 GB: Kingsley Enegbare, ED, South Carolina
-The Packers are going to have to cut costs to keep Rodgers and Adams in the fold, so the Smith bros are out. That means the Packers will grab an ED to try and keep the pass rush going.

1.29 MIA: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
-Mike McDaniels coming to the Dolphins brings a new scheme, and Linderbaum is perfect for it. The Dolphins run game should jump from back of the pack to above average with the additions of McDaniels and Linderbaum.

1.30 KC: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
-The Chiefs can find a S later, but Lloyd brings special traits, may be an answer to the run threat that Josh Allen and Justin Herbert present in the AFC.

1.31 CIN: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa
-The Bengals have work to do on their OL, but getting Penning in to play RT is the biggest piece of the puzzle. The right side of the OL was beaten like a drum throughout the playoffs.

1.32 DET: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh
-The Lions liked Pickett at the Senior Bowl, but held off until late 1st to get him. Getting him in the 1st is big, because the 5th year option is very valuable for QB’s.

    4. 2nd Round

2.33 DAL: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
-The Cowboys trade Cooper, re-sign Gallup, and draft Dotson to make a new dynamic trio of WR’s.

2.34 DET: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
-The Lions got a pass rusher, a QB, and now the QB of their defense.

2.35 TEN: David Bell, WR, Purdue
-The Titans traded back because their roster is getting expensive quickly. But they are able to add a great 3rd WR who can eventually take over for Julio Jones.

2.36 NYG: Isaiah Likely, TE, Coastal Carolina
-The Giants let Evan Engram walk, but they do bring in a dynamic receiver at the TE position to help Daniel Jones. If he can’t do it with a better OL, Golladay, Shepherd, Toney, Barkley, and Likely, he’ll never do it.

2.37 HOU: Cameron Thomas, ED, San Diego State
-The Texans got their blue chip players early, so they take the last best ED in the class. Thomas can probably be a day 1 starter at Strong Side DE for them.

2.38 NYJ: Perrion Winfrey, IDL, Oklahoma
-The Jets can add a G in free agency, and draft one later. They can also draft a TE in the 3rd. With this pick, they have added talent and depth to their DL rotation, and may have found a highly effective interior rusher.

    5. The Jets Full Draft

    1.4 Kayvon Thibodeaux, ED, Oregon
    1.20 Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
    1.26 Drake London, WR, USC
    2.38 Perrion Winfrey, IDL, Oklahoma
3.69 Jeremy Ruckert, TE, Ohio State
    4.109 Cole Strange, G, Chattanooga
    4.115 Tyler Badie, RB, Missouri
    5.145 Smoke Monday, S, Auburn
    5.162. Zander Horvath, FB, Purdue

    Senior Bowl Players highlighted.

Good job as always max! I think it’s a lot of moves but moves that do make sense. Pitt could very well move up but I think they need to get in front of Denver at #9 as well. I think Atlanta is in prime position to be the one who has that pick to move back either with Pitt or Washington.

The only way Kayvon falls to us is if Detroit or Houston fall in love with Pickett. I don’t see Houston taking Ekwonu. It’s the only scenario in my mind. Pickett needs to skyrocket for us. Love the Ruckert pick late. Strange also is a good pick late.

Yeah the Steelers don’t need to jump the Broncos in this mock because the Broncos had already traded for Jordan Love before the draft, but you may be right in the real draft.

It’s widely reported Houston is trying to unload Tunsil. Why wouldn’t they pick the best LT in the draft to replace him?

They have to unload him first to make that move.. also that team has a lot of holes and I just can’t see them taking a LT/G. Could be wrong.

Nice work, wasn’t happy with the corner at 20 until I saw the receiver at 26. Only issue I see is I’m pretty sure you are obligated by law to mock trey McBride to the Jets. Hope the authorities don’t see this

Great effort, as always Max! I really question using that high of a pick on IDL. I'd take an OL - preferably a C or G there, or possibly a Safety if there's one of value at that spot, all of which are greater needs than IDL IMO.

With Fatukasi a FA and Rankins a potential cap casualty, IDL is a low-key need IMO.

That’s the same way I feel when I see someone picking a backup OT for us at 4.

Tunsil is an all star, they won’t have a problem unloading him. I know of a team in OHIO with a ton of cap space who could use some upgrades on their OL.

I'd love this draft for us but I think zero chance London goes that late. Apparently teams are really high on him. I think he's probably going to be the first WR off the board.

He could be a guy at 10, and I wouldn’t hate it.

I think you can always use more pass rush, and top 40 is really the main place to find it. You can find S and G/C later in the draft, and they’ll probably sign 1-2 S and 1 G in free agency.

If so, I think that many GMs in the NFL are brain dead.

I would hate it. There's no way imo that he's a better WR prospect than Burks or Wilson, especially with his drop rate, the fact that he rarely catches passes on the right side of the field, his frame, and the level of competition he had at USC.
