Dear Joe, Forget everything the ass kissers are telling you about how great you're doing at 13-36, you know what your job is. Use every asset you have to find the guys who will bring their best each and every day. You've made some good choices and some not so good; admit to yourself where you've screwed up and move on to better the team rather than rationalize and protect your past decisions - you can't move forward while looking backwards. Nobody gets a free pass and every job is threatened by someone better - yours included.
Der Joe... you can roundly ignore 98% of Jets fans who are idiots the remaining 2 %have PTSD, please be kind Losmeister
Joe get some playmakers on both sides of the ball. We haven't had anybody that a team had to prepare for in a long time. Say what you will about Gastineau but teams had to deal with him. We need someone like that. Get some tight ends on this roster that can do more than just block.
Dear Joe: Do not go into next season with another undrafted rookie free agent kicker (and then don't replace him with same!)
Dear Joe, You have a guaranteed 6 year contract so win or lose again, you still have a job. Nail the Draft or not, you still have a job. Anything more than 4 wins will be considered a rousing success so you could literally stand pat and still keep your job. The only pressure is on the Fanbase, not on you. The Jets have been losing for the last 12 years so its nothing new to lose again in '22. Don't worry about the press or the fanbase as both will be against you AND show up at MetLife to put cash in the pockets of the organization. Its a win/win for both you and Woody. You can't lose Joe. You're literally in the easy chair so enjoy it. Keep building and buying cheap FA labor. At some point, either the Jets will win or your contract will be up for renewal. That's when you might want to start to be concerned. Until then, Party on dude! Winning really doesn't matter since no matter what happens, you still will have your job.
Cman, why don't you post this on the jet website where they say contact us! I am sure those some dimwit reads the posts...
Dear Joe, I’m truly sorry for all the trouble I brought with me in college. I was an unhappy kid. I understand why your real friends told you I was a bad influence and they were right. I will always cherish our time together and I’m proud of the man you became.
Dear Joe It's nice to have a Plan ..but much better to see big Results Don't forget the Johnson Gravy Train won't last forever
How much rope you gonna give this guy? When do you expect him to put a product on the field that can win consistently? Inquiring minds want to know.
No matter what happens on the field, JD will finish his contract. The real question is, will he be renewed or jettisoned. Woody can't afford to continue to look like a complete moron is running the show here. He's in danger of turning the Jets into the Knicks and that will not fly anymore. JD got 6 years to get it done. The bar is so low at the moment that anything more than 4 wins will be viewed as a quantum leap even if it isn't. JD also knows he can't afford another 2020 draft either. Originally, Gase was to blame. Now? Its the JD show and the thing that will protect him is Woody. JD will finish his contract no matter what unless he gets caught in a sauna with an underage female transsexual hooker having ties to the Chinese.
Draft KT Garrett Wilson or Drake London (or if possible trade for DK Metcalf or Michael Thomas) Tre McBride Continue building the OL. Bring back LDT And for God's sake find a way to limit these injuries
Serious question - What would be the purpose of keeping him in year six if the team never won more than six games in any year and had still not developed more than a few cornerstones to success?
I'll help, don't sign the highlighted player or his like and then maybe the injuries will slow down, guy has played 7 games in the last two seasons.
Establishing continuity comes to mind . Would giving JD a 6th year make him our longest tenured GM? Woody would have to witness an extreme circumstance to fire JD. Who would take the Jet GM job? Who else could fire JD? We don't have a VP of football ops. We all know Woody is gullible and extremely PR conscious so if keeping JD a 6th year improves the Jet Brand, I can see it happening.
Dear Joe, if we were as smart as you, we'd all be making millions like you. Do your thing & use the advice of your staff, not the outside noise. I have faith in you & your staff. Since you added Saleh, & a few good football minds in 2021, we have done well with the Draft & trades. Go Joe!
What is the value in continuity if that leads to winning only about 30% of the games played? Who cares about continuity if that leads to still having only a few cornerstones? It would mean the rebuild was a failure - why continue on the same rutted path? If submediocrity is something to strive for then there's no reason to change; I want better. There are 32 NFL GM jobs, candidates would line up. I'm not at all concerned about finding applicants and it shouldn't be too hard to find one who can grow a team and win more than one out of three games. That does absolutely nothing to improve the "Jet Brand." I don't know where the idea comes from that Woody Johnson is publicity conscious, we only see a picture of him two or three times a year - he's no Jerry Jones.
Dear Joe, draft and sign guys that everyone wants but don’t draft and sign guys that no one wants. If you don’t follow this advice Mike0928483 on Twitter with an American flag next to his name and an eagle as his avatar will never watch the Jets again.
