Super Bowl Food

    Yes, I know...Jets are not in the Super Bowl. I should be banned from the site for mentioning Jets and Superbowl in the same sentence.

    I'm sure many of you will be watching the Super Bowl primarily to see if your numbers come in on the pool sheet however, it is the last football we will see for a looooong time so...

    What food do you plan to serve? What are you going to feast on? What Beverages will be consumed?

    I plan to start with Buffalo (they didn't make it either) wings with Blue Cheese dip and Celery sticks followed by Chili con Carne with all the trimmings (shredded lettuce, chopped fresh onions, tomatoes, Jalapenos, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream). Corn chips, Salsa, Fresh Guacamole. Thumans Dogs, rolls, Sour Krout, sweet pickle relish, Guldens mustard. French Onion Dip and Potato Chips. Large Fudge Brownies and if I dare...vanilla ice cream.

    I think I start the festivities with a Tanqueray Gin Martini, shaken not stirred, 3 olives, somewhat liberal on the dry Vermouth followed by Guinness Stout and Harp Lagers.

    I plan on using a first rounder in a chili dog and a second on some nachos. I figure to land some decent beverage prospects in the later rounds.

    My wife and I discovered how great it is to just stay home and each make our fave meal instead of going to parties or having one.
    Crab legs for her
    Beef stew for me!!
    Bit different than the usual game day meals

    I go to my uncle's house (He's an annoying Giants fan with 8ft HD projected screen, 12 lazy boys, 2 bars, and my aunt cooks for 3 days getting about 20 things ready)

    We have traditions in our season ticket group dating back to me being a kid. My wife being a great cook is the only thing that’s forced us to change up the menu.

    Wings
    Bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños
    Homemade guac
    Chili
    Sausage and peppers
    Cannoli dip
    Some form of Italian pastries

    I was down 45 pounds since July as of this morning. Was.

    Mouth is watering reading this thread.

    Probably going to my friend's place so I'm not sure what'll be there but my dream team of Super Bowl foods would be:

    BBQ
    Wings
    Nachos
    Chips+Salsa
    Jalapeño poppers
    Pizza
