Hard Lessons from the past..

Yeah I don't really think JD splashes in FA. I think he signs a few mid tier guys and maybe some stop gap prove it guys but he's going to look to build through the draft. So far JDs biggest FA contract given was 3 years 45 million. he's never given a contract over 3 years and only twice has he gone over 10mil per year (lawson and davis) and both were 2nd tier guys signed relatively cheaply. I think we'll see more similar mid tier guys in the 8-12 mil range for 2-3 years while he stockpiles picks and builds through the draft. I still wanna see Dalton Schultz in one of our ugly uniforms...

ertz signed his contract 5 years ago so prices have gone up.
kittle, andrews, goeddart and kelce are in the 14-15mil range. those are the "top tier" guys
last yeah huner henry and jonnu smith signed for 12.5mil a year each
hooper signed for 10.5 mil a year 2 years ago
So the top TEs on the market should net around 12mil a year while the 2nd tier guys probably 7-8ish
of course it's just my speculation so we'll have to wait and see

 

Yeah... I looked up some of the contracts for top tight ends.

Kroft fails to impress... and Yeboah needs to develop.

We need a stud at tight end...

 

ideally we could sign one and draft one and keep kroft cheap as a TE3 and yeboah as a TE4
