no sports year is actually important unless you make it so

too much wasted stupid emotion on my part has cleared my POV pretty good.

do i still get nervous? yes. anxious? a bit.

if it ever happens i iwll enjoy it a great deal. but nowhere near the way i might've back in 98

Absolutely right. Zach has to take the next step and JD needs to continue building the team around him. Just look at the AFC..Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert. If the Jets ever hope to make noise in the conference and division then Zach must get a lot better otherwise this team will continue to be a bottom feeder.

Jimmy Garoppolo 33-14 as a starter, 4-2 in the playoffs, under this very offensive system, expects to be traded. No brainer decision.

Then 2022 doesn't ride on Zach Wilson at all, he can try to learn the game without pushing our favorite team to last place.

There's no way you can watch the 49ers play and think "Yeah, Jimmy G is our guy"

Using wins as a stat to justify getting a QB doesn't make any sense. Wins are a team stat, not a QB stat.

Lets hope this is correct because without a competent OL and skilled players we will destroy another young QB.

A lot of pressure on him this upcoming season. Will the Jets keep their promise is my question.

That play was Zach Wilson staring down a poorly covered receiver for the entire play and then managing to get himself hit on the hip hard as he let the ball go.

A good defensive secondary picks that ball and he was just lucky he didn't get hurt on the hit which happened when he was fully extended.

    But yeah, absurd...

And of course the receiver who caught the ball behind the defense was not able to get to the endzone because the ball was delivered too hard on his right shoulder and it was all he could do to corral it.

    But yeah, absurd!

Mark Sanchez and Sam Darnold both had their wow moments early on. Those moments didn't disguise the fact that they had no clue how to play QB effectively in the NFL and neither of them managed to get beyond the basics in their short tenures with the Jets.

Odds are overwhelming that Zach Wilson is the third in that progression.

So you can look at the dozen great throws Zach made last season as the primary predictor of his career path. I guess there's nothing wrong with that.

However the other throws he made suggest a very different fate.

I'm just keeping it real for the posters who somehow project him as a great prospect despite the fact that he looked terrible for much of the season last year.

Brad. You might be right, you might be wrong about Zach. But I have not seen you this passionate against a Jets QB before. I hope you are wrong by the way. If Zach fails, we will stare at abyss for a long time again.

You absolutely do your very best to let everyone know how bad you think he is. You're doing an excellent job! Do not let this fanbase be optimistic or hopeful in any way

We're a last place team that has sucked for the last decade and currently has the longest string of seasons without making the playoffs.

We've just set franchise records for points allowed in back to back seasons.

We're 6-27 since Joe Douglas has had full control of events.

We over-drafted a QB from a middling-weak program on the #2 pick last season and he played exactly as the expectations should have been based on his provenance and the lack of development time we put into ensuring more success for him.

Now he is going to need a huge amount of help to have any chance to get over the top, this alongside the worst two defenses in Jet's history meaning the defense also needs a lot of immediate help.

Optimism? Hope? What the hell are you smoking?
