Even if a team doesn’t comply with the Rooney rule, a minority coach has not been damaged and have grounds for damages against the NFL. It simply means the NFL has grounds to penalize the team. The Rooney rule doesn’t create any legal obligation between a team, or the league, and a minority coach.

Flores will not see a penny because this is going to get tossed quickly without evidence he wasn’t hired because he is black. Simply claiming it is racist because he’s black isn’t going to be enough to get this far.

I love it myself!!! Fuck the NFL and especially Fuck the Dolphins.

I hope Flores burns both of them down. Why would any Jets fan NOT be pumped about this? The dolphins couldnt even tank right hahaha

if woody had any balls he would hire Flores here, a big 'F U' move to the Dolphins. Such a shame we have a loser douchebag owning the Jets too, as that's just the perfect move. Ive been on cloud 9 since I heard of this, its the highlight of my season

I also think Flores will get a job again in the NFL and if not, the college football universities like Michigan will throw him money and he can run a whole program

Excellent conspiracy theory. By sending that inadvertent email to the wrong Brian, he screwed the Giants. Otherwise, he is simply technology impaired.

My understanding is that Flores, “did his homework”. The texts between him & BB were prior to his Giants interview. One has to wonder what his proof is with Ross.

The NFL hates going to court. The teams involved will more than likely be dealt with accordingly. Damage control will have to take place with the players, and the fans. Flores will probably get a big payoff, with no details.

    This could get interesting.

Just heard on the radio driving to work today that Flores will be making appearances on CBS and ESPN today. Wow. He’s going for it.

Risky move. Anything he says will be fair game in his litigation. If he misspeaks or says something stupid, the NFL will jam it up his ass at trial. He must be pretty confident that he can handle the reporters' questions. We'll see if his confidence is justified. Given the stories about his alleged problems with interpersonal skills, it will be interesting to see if he comes across as an asshole.

Hue Jackson is my absolute favorite racism guy. 3-36-1 including a glorious 0-16 season. Can’t imagine why he can’t get another head coaching job.

If the allegations are true, that an NFL team was purposely trying to lose then it IS brave to speak out. Its a disgrace to the game and an insult to the fans

Imagine what happens with their gambling deals.

If those allegations are true I will never bet an NFL game again.

Now it makes more sense why Gregg Williams (stupidly) called an all-out blitz on a hail mary play last season. He was exposed to this pay-for-tank scheme in Cleveland with Hue Jackson, maybe they had it going here in NY too

it also makes more sense why Jackson wasn't let go after an 0-16 season in Cleveland. He lost every game but he got to keep his job because he was doing what his owner asked of him.

Both were abnormal actions that could be explained by this stuff

Do you have legit claims to a lawsuit if you bet on Miami to win a game and they purposely lost and Flores has the receipts showing Ross was willing to pay for losses? Absolutely insane to think about.

So you’re saying he perhaps accepted the money?
