1) I added context 2) It was windy but come on, he can't throw a 2 yard pass to the running back in the backfield? This is the NFL and Wilson was drafted for his arm strength 3) We really don't know if the bills took the option away because he didn't try throwing to Carter. I remember they tried it once in the end zone on 3rd down and Wilson's pass was batted down by a lineman**... That was in the 4th quarter though, it took them that long to try it. **And of course that was a miracle because Wilson is so tall he can see right over the line with ease, so Idk how a lineman was able to get up and knock it down. Maybe the Bills put Shaq in for a play
You could paint it as clear as day and he won't get it. He sees what he wants to see. White had all his weapons and no weather concerns. He spit the bit. He's very easy to defend once you see him on film.
Good for you. Not worth it. I honestly wish I could confirm he is trolling but unfortunately I don't think he is.
That crossing pattern with subsequent lateral has already been used by other teams--great ingenuity. He balled the last 1/4 season.
I felt he started the season with too much on Zack's plate and called game plans that relied on Zack playing like a seasoned vet to win these early games with his arm. These games ended in disaster. After ML moved up to the booth the plays seemed to get a little better as far as what Zack was asked to do on any play. Play calls seemed simpler and actually started to work. But even then ML was putting a lot of what needed to happen to win on Zacks shoulders. About mid season or a bit later I felt some of the focus to win games was moved from Zack and placed on the defense and the running game. It was around then that Zack started having good int-free games. His game against the Bucs was probably his best game of the season. So I saw a lot of growth from our first year OC and signal caller. He started out all wrong and was earning a solid D-, but towards the end he was much better and pushing into the B+ range. I think MF will continue to grow and Zack will do much better in yr 2 because of MF growth.
Not sure why he did not throw to MC Mims was open all day. LOL https://jetsxfactor.com/2022/01/11/zach-wilson-sacks-ny-jets-film/
how the bengals and Bills play defense can answer that. The Bills play in your face with great secondary play, their LB’s cover pretty well. Those RB routes that the bengals let up all day underneath were because they weren’t letting the Jets beat them deep.
It's a year end grade - the same as a final grade in any school I ever went to; it accounts for everything you've done for the entire year. The team won four games. They lost thirteen. They may have won a couple of quarterlies or the midterm but they also flunked the final. Nobody gets an A or B for that kind of performance anywhere. They may have shown flashes of improvement but it was never sustained. In business an A or B rating would get the guy a raise at his annual review. This guy should just be happy he kept his job all year.
See I would be more inclined to accept that answer but Wilson not throwing to Carter spans across weeks & against multiple defenses, not just Buffalo, and the Cincinnati game had a different.....better.... QB
I did actually. Well, the 1st (youtube) video was so bad I had to shut it off midway through. After he pimps his sponsor for the first few minutes he gets into it a little bit but gushes over a routine pass to Jamison Crowder and literally says that "Zach Wilson could not have played any better" ... talking about a game with a net 5 yard performance the 2nd video at your link was much better. That guy is at least on planet earth and knows about the game. I agreed & disagreed with some of his points but I respect his analysis
I do not disagree with your evaluation of the videos. My point just saying, dump it off to Carter, it is not fair or accurate criticism of Zach post-injury and definitely not for the Bills game. The offense of struggles were far from Zach's fault and Mims and Carter were not open. I am not sure you are willing to see to any good from Zach. You can criticize but I ask you to a least be a little bit objective, he is the starting QB on the team you root for.
He put up 5 yards. It is hard to find any good after a game like that. It was a historically bad performance. The Jets had 4 1st downs, and 1 of them was the touchdown pass. So they only actually moved the chains forward 3 times. Twice in the 1st half and only once the entire second half.
That TD pass by Zach was a big boy throw as was the one to the new guy. With that being said the offense stunk but Zach had little to zero chance to succeed. If you can't see that I do not know what to tell you. I am willing to wager Zach will be a top 20 QB next season.
The Bills game seems like an odd hill to die on. We were missing 7 starters on offense, 64% of our total starters on that side of the ball. The OL was an absolute disaster that game, Wilson almost got sacked on a handoff. We all know Zach played very badly most of the year. By singling out the Bills game it just feels like you have an axe to grind.
yeah yeah we know, nobody expected the widdle ole Jets to win so it’s okay that they played historically bad
