Without Berrios & Moore we are in danger of not covering the spread. I say this because I stupidly placed said bet...
Meh... I can only hope the Bills will sit starters after getting a healthy lead and let Zach get some garbage time points.
I expect to get thrashed. But I ALWAYS hope we win. So I would be appy and surprised if we won and wouldnt say shit about draft position/
Crowder is coming back, which is a good news, but he hasn't played last two weeks, and not full at proactive all week. It's going to be a rough outing for Zach. To have a good game here would require a miracle akin to Becton losing weight and returning for that last game of the season.
Who will run the Jet Sweep? Smith? Smith got the most receiver snaps last week and I guess will be our number one WR with Crowder in the slot. Who else do we have? Is Cole able to play? DJ Montgomery next and then maybe Mimms? Sounds like a lot of passes to Carter and Kroft. This game looks very ugly. Makes me wish they waited another year to go to 17.
Well at least we don't have to worry about who's healthy for the playoffs. Woody always comes through with the small wins.
That's fine until you fall behind by a couple of scores, then you have no choice, you have to throw. That's why the Jets QB search of the last two decades has been so unproductive. To win in the NFL, you need to find a QB who can put the team on his back and win games from behind, like Brady did last week. You can't do that by running the ball. Haven't seen that kind of QB on the Jets since Vinnie. Hopefully Wilson has what it takes. I think he does, but we need to be patient.
My running the ball reference has to do with weather forecasted for this game. Getting down by a lot of points does not lead to wins running or passing. With a bad defense running becomes even more important to keep the other offense off the field.
Thank god this is the last game for the Jets. Another difficult year being a Jet fan. If the Jets were to win this game, this would open the door for my Pats to win the division. With this idea being presented, I now wonder if many of you really want the Jets to win this game, LOL. I am very happy with the Jet's performance last week against the Bucs. I am not expecting them to win this game, but I want to see how well they do in the trenches. If the defensive line can man up like they did last week, I can see them putting some pressure against Josh Allen. But they must be disciplined to stay in their rushing lanes. I am also interested to see if the offensive line can push some folks around allowing the Jets to execute a good running game. Last but not least it will be cold and windy. Can Zack demonstrate his arm in these conditions? Again the Jets are not expected to win this game, but can they show as the season ends that Jet fans have something to look forward to next year?
This is going to be brutal. Can’t see us scoring more than 10ish points and the Bills will drop over 30. Our only shot is running the ball because Zach is going to have 2 seconds on every drop back and maybe the worst group of WRs the Bills’ number 1 pass D has seen all year. Not a game we’re going to want to head into the offseason with.
Unfortunately, in the East, you have to be able to throw the ball bad weather or not. If the Jets had concerns about Wilson's ability to throw in adverse weather conditions, they shouldn't have drafted him. If you're behind, especially late in the game, you have to throw. That is, if you want to win.
What? Wind/weather effects every QB no matter your arm strength. There is a reason games are lower scoring in the winter in NE games or bad weather games. I am not sure why I am arguing with ignorant comments. Bad weather 100mph winds , game plan throw it all over the yard? Makes sense. Did you happen to miss the first Pats Bills game when NE three the ball 3 times and won? You get yourself down by a couple TDs and have to throw into 20 mph winds you are not coming back.
