Vegas opened the game at 17 points. Since then it moved down to 16.5. I expect this go down maybe another point and then settle at 16. That said, if you got $100, which side would you bet on? I will do exactly that. I will bet $100 for this game. My first instinct was to bet it on Jets covering the spread whether it is 16 or 17. But reading the board today and checking Twitter (which is gold for Jets content) I couldn't decide. So please decide my bet for me. With love... your friendly mod Brook! P.S. Will move this thread out of main page once it serves its purpose. I expect @bicketybam and @Cman65 going at it with @NCJetsfan contributing extensively. Go Jets!
This could be a 3 point game going into the 4th and the Jets end up losing by 17. Or they could be down 24 and score some garbage time points. No way I'm touching this game.
I'm saying take the points. The only hangup is getting the full sixty minutes out of the Jets. That hasn't happened yet this season.
I don't like giving this many points so I would take the Jets if I had to bet it. Honestly I would stay away from this game. I could also see the Bills winning in a romp since they need to win it for the division.
All on the Bills, we are down to the bare bones. Though I never really like betting on the NFL as both prices are so low in the UK it is 16.5pts and 10/11, so every 10 you make back 11 and your stake. Means you have to bet in 100's to make it worth it and to be frank you never see a poor bookmaker.
I have the same odds as you...-110 no matter who I pick with the spread. That's with Fan Duel. My other option is Draft Kings but I'm sure it's the same. If I want to bet the game straight up I can get +750 by picking the Jets! Edit: I can get Jet +800 ML with Draft Kings. Temped to throw $50 on it.
I don’t think you comfortably lay the points with the Bills especially if it ends up being a weather game. It’s Jets +17 or nothing, but I wouldn’t play it. The Bills defense is too good, and they’re playing for the division at the same time the Pats are. This might be a good teaser leg (add 7 to make it 24) or sweetheart teaser (add 10 to make it 27). Or go the other way with the Bills. It’s not a crazy thought that this is a 31-10 game though. Also - unless you’re trying to beat Covid and get ahead of a potential outbreak, you prob shouldn’t touch these games before Sunday. If you want to gamble that either team has an outbreak take it now (I.E bet the Jets +17 now in anticipating the entire Bills oline is out and spread lowers to 10).
I don't gamble, and don't understand the poll, but suffice it to say that I wouldn't bet on the Jets to beat anyone this year including Jacksonville, Houston or Detroit. Teams usually don't win or cover spreads with 3rd string offenses.
Another thing to consider here is how many business decisions in the second half do the Bills make to keep their players healthy for the playoffs? I could see them jumping out to as big of a lead as possible and trying to put Allen and Diggs and maybe their safeties on the bench if they have a comfortable enough lead. This might sound crazy, but I wonder if Belichick looks at the weather in both Buffalo and New England and bases his decisions on that Miami game on that. Neither have great outlooks for weather I’d guess but it *appears* as though they’ll play each other in round one. I’m sure he’d rather play in the game with shittier conditions given the two teams strengths but it also would be quite difficult to willingly concede home field over that. Just a wild take over here.
I think both NE and Buffalo are going to play to win the division. It wouldn't surprise if BB does something like that, but I doubt it.
I'm not really into betting, but if I was I would have been making noise about taking the Jets last week because of intangibles with TB playing in Jersey. No way I take the Jets on the road this week though. Way too risky.
