Our passing game is obviously full of dinks and dunks. The one component I think are missing however are dinks and dunks to Leon and Brad. I'd love to see them get the ball just beyond the DL and then try to make some things happen. These guys both have the speed and moves to take it to the house. We could better utilize them as weapons this way.
Some teams grind it out on the ground; we, on the other hand, grind it out through the air. Whatever works...
The shovel "pass" to Leon at the LOS in the Miami game is a great example of this. He took it 64 yards. He was gone before the linemen even knew WTF was going on.
Another team that used dinks and dunks is New England on their first Superbowl run. I'm not comparing Brady to Pennington, but both are accurate, while Brady has a much better arm, same basic offensive attack though.
A lot of times Brady and the Pats use the Dinks and Dunks when the run game isn't working - we did it vs. Vikings (which I think you did too) because we knew we wouldn't be able to run on them. Heh, if it moves the team down the field, go with it. It also helps to control the clock.
I agree that more screens to Leon and Brad with be a solid idea. We need to get them the ball in space as much as possible.
