It's a damn shame they lost that game after that effort. There's a lot of heart, and more talent than most people would acknowledge on this team.
The silver lining is that Zach played so much better than we all expected, especially when you consider who was out and that he lost MC and Fant during the game. If that makes me a homer, so be it.
very disappointing end to the game (but also oh so Jets) - still was good to see ZW play well - gives some hope for the future
the players were on the field with a chance to STOP the Bucs. they didnt. doesnt ABSOLVE the coaches. but they needed 2 more minutes of solid play. they didnt get it.
The Jets would have been better off spreading everybody out and calling a QB draw on that play if they wanted to run it. If the defense screws up and doesn't cover somebody it is an easy throw for a TD.
That at least gives me hope. I have VERY little hope in the coaching staff; I can't even say for sure that I'll even follow the team next year if they keep Ulbrich. But I think this team has more talent than may we're giving them credit for. There's still a lot of holes to be filled, but I think the incompetence of this team is almost entirely on the coaching staff.
Nothing wrong with the decision but that play call is up there with Gregg Williams' zero blitz for worst play call in the history of football. Inexcusable.
Lmao ...pathetic Defense provided that dagger to the heart..what corner had the coverage??? Douglas is for sh-t if this entire unit isn't replaced Mosley a ghost and QWilliams too today..feh
Yeah I agree. And even though his numbers weren't eye popping I felt like he did better than a glance at the stat line would suggest.
Worst in the history of the Jets anyway. Carroll and Bevell dialing up a 2nd and 1 pass with Marshawn Lynch standing around in the SB still takes the cake.
Tampa's O-line gave Brady all the time in the world to pick us apart. Shoulda blitzed more... lots more.
I think you're being way too harsh. The "D" played great considering all the players they were missing. That was Brady on the other side you know.
