The only reason why the Jets won today was because JAX was dumber both on the field and on the sidelines. This game was as entertaining as watching two really old heavyweights battle it out in wheelchairs. As I have said before... Jets won and the defense actually made a huge stop to seal the win. I think we were missing some guys too?
Not just today man... I'm talking all year long. I suppose we can drag out the youth excuse again but if you want to look at today, if it were any other team besides the Jagoffs, the Jets lose this game big. Every team is missing important guys. That's the new reality. The Jet D is an OC's dream game. No pass rush, really horrible blitz timing, shit tackling...etc. I knew today would be a death match. We came out on top with what most likely is our last win of the year. Hard to find a worse team than the Jets.
I am not sure why, I do not think he has a previous relationship with Saleh. Go look at the Cowboys how a good DC can turn your defense from crappy to really good. We will see what happens in the offseason. I do not think changing your OC makes any sense. The key to developing a QB is having them play in the same system for several seasons.
I don't think LaFleur should be on a tight leash. He was going to have growing pains as a first time play caller and has improved a lot since going to the booth.
