Saleh said Mims was punished enough this past week but it spoke a lot after those penalities, the staff decided to run DJ Montgomery, who was fresh off the PS and in his first game, running all of the X WR plays, playing around 59%! Of snaps! He wasn’t even good neither. Woof.
It's like having Johnny Mitchell at the WR position. He has all the "tools" except that his noggin is empty.
Did you see. Van Jefferson balling yesterday? JD instead of getting cute and trading down, should have just taken his target!!! That’s on JD. I remember how everybody was ecstatic to get mims and extra picks, me I didn’t. It’s turned out miserably! I don’t even think we can recover anything for mims. Will end up cutting him. I think he is done with jets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Way too early to write off Wilson, but as for mims, he is probably toast. The 2nd round curse continues. Although Moore might have ended that. He was legit 1st rounder that dropped. So harder to get that wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is why when you need good players like we do, “more” is not always better. For example, we gave up two third rounders to trade up for AVT, the consensus best guard in the draft…a lot to give up but it was the right move…a Day 1 starter at a position of need is better than a lesser player plus two Ashtyn Davis type third rounders but back to Mims…at this point I’m done with him …more penalties than catches with this guy…enough
Mims sucks. I haven’t taken a real stance on him until now but I saw everything I needed to see. Sloppy, lazy routes. Drifts away from the ball instead of driving to meet it. I see zero attention to detail in the way he plays. I don’t know if he just doesn’t care or what. It’s hard for me to understand how he could be that unrefined if he did care, because this is a job he goes to practice and study every day. Based on the way the coaching staff has dealt with him it’s probably work ethic. I’ve seen him play hard at times, but playing hard and working hard are two completely different things.
they did. here is the snap count (out of 66) crowder 60 cole 55 montgomery 39 berrios 27 mims 22 smith 11 even with our top 2 WRs out he was the WR 5
yeah he was basically benched which was the point. he wasn't performing so he got subbed out and wound up with hardly any snaps.
this has been a MAJOR disappointment... it LOOKED like he could play...last year and in NCAA... i sure whiffed on THAT one... boy!
I'm tellin you guys, Mims has mentally already checked out from this team. The CS doesn't like him, and the feeling is mutual. Why they don't do the kid a favor and release him smacks of punishment to me. This is personal between Mims and the CS. They won't play him. They won't cut him. Mims might be better off smoking some weed and then requesting a piss test.
Huh? If that’s his approach it confirms he’s not a NFL calibre player. Sounds like you’re making excuses for the fact that he sucks and can’t get on the field because he doesn’t belong in the league.
