Receivers are going to have to step up and get open. There’s been nothing working on a straight drop backs. The razzle dazzle is going to run out soon
I have to say. … our staff has NO GRASP of the two minute offense. You do NOT throw on 2nd and 19. You run the damn ball there and make them use their last TO. Then … depending on how many yards you just got, you run it again on 3rd and end the half 17-10 … or if it’s short enough, THEN you throw on 3rd down to try to convert. What you don’t do is risk an INT on 2nd and 19 which gives them the ball in great field position and still with a TO in their pocket … which is EXACTLY what we almost did! This is just common sense. Coaching 101.
That wasn't good. All he had to do was step up In the pocket, not panic and take off. Hate to see it.
The other part of rookie bubble is don't make your QB think too much. Give him an option early in the play and then a clear throwaway if he needs it. For ZW the time to be thinking hard is when he looks at the film later in the week.
If Wilson wasn’t going to seriously make an effort to run for the first down, not sure why he just didn’t try to extend the play longer. That made no sense
