College bowls are always tough to bet on. You got interim coaches everywhere, players sitting out, and they’ve been off for weeks so it really has more to do with who is better prepared and there’s no way for the common bettor to know that answer
Yeah it’s brutal. That’s why I’m trying to gather all these storylines as much as I can. Sometimes teams just flat up don’t show up. There’s no quit in a couple of these games though. WKU/App State, Utah State/Oregon State and UAB/BYU should all come to play. I love Army -3.5 later this month against Missouri. The last thing a bad Missouri team wants to do is tackle option soldiers. And the service academies play with too much pride to mail it in during Bowl games.

I'm not really feeling it pre-game on any of these but agree with you that WKU is the better side. UFC tonight--first fight Jordan Leavitt is my best bet +105 FWIW.
WKU +3 is my favorite play of the day. I will probably play UTEP +11/12 but I don’t know a ton about them. Just playing the spot against what I’d guess is an unmotivated Fresno State team. I like Utah State +7 later. I will probably play BYU or play them live. UAB has the best run defense in CUSA but they’ve never faced a monster like Allgeier and those big BYU lineman. Edit: as @BrowningNagle said. Be cautious with these games. Sometimes a better team just shows up and gets their dick kicked in because they got put in a shittier bowl than they wanted, coach is leaving, lots of transfers, scandals hit, etc. so you gotta read storylines and such before touching any of these games. 2+ weeks off, a week before Christmas. Keep an eye out as to where these games are played too. Some teams have to travel much further. Louisiana vs Marshall tonight is a good point for all of these. Impossible the handicap. Louisiana’a prized Saban disciple coach is off to Florida and not coaching the game even though he stayed for his conference championship that they won. But Louisiana is also at home essentially in New Orleans while Marshall is coming down from WV in a disappointing year after they were ranked as high as 15 last year. So difficult to figure out which team shows up.
I listen to the Cover 3 pod and they were split on the O/U. Anticipated that UAB’s best bet to stay in this game was to make it a slopfest, but at the same team BYU can drop 42 on a team like this in 3 quarters by way of an unstoppable ground game.
I went with my son's recommendation, but he's been hit or miss. I also went with Fresno State and Utah State spread.
If you’re feeling especially froggy you can look at some 2-3 team 7 point teasers. Utah State/BYU might be a good combo now that I’m suggesting it. Bring USU to +14 and BYU to a pick’em. BYU is one of those teams that doesn’t give lackluster effort at any time. Utah State has this weird side storyline but I don’t think it affects the game. You watching? Allgeier is an absolute monster. This is what sucks about bowl games though. BYU’s quarterback ruled out minutes before kickoff and UAB came to play. Regardless, I added BYU a couple times live (+6 and ML) and have a lot of confidence in them because they should dominate the LOS most of the game. Plus they have a “Romney” at the helm. What could go wrong?
