    Just going to say it,

Becton has been all bark and no bite since he's gotten here. He does most of his talking through Twitter and passive aggressive in his interviews. You would think he's Trent Williams by the way he talks.

Dude hasn't been able to play consistently healthy ever.

So far he's looking like a big bust.

Try not to count other peoples money, but between this and his $400k Big Ticket chain, he’s certainly making sound investments that’ll last a lifetime.

I am also concerned about his work ethic. He came into summer camp out of shape and when Mike Lefleur said that Becton had some things to work out he got really pissed. He has a ton of talent but I am starting to question about his interest in becoming the best OT he can be. Let us hope I am wrong and that he comes back next season to show us he was worth the money.

Hell I don't even care about the money, I just think it's funny that the guy is a professional football player and we know more about his auto purchases than his injury status.

ha, so his girlfriend was tweeting congratulations for overcoming his addiction and he failed a drug test a month earlier.

so, let's recap. the Jets stink every year and our only glimmer of hope is a high draft pick guaranteed millions of dollars and we use it on a 20 year old kid with some kind of addiction, and a weight problem. and we wonder why we never get better.

Based on that pic, and the clothes he is wearing, he doesn’t seem to be in too bad shape. I was expecting to see a large bloated man.

If he will be able to climb up into that rig on a regular basis, and get back down without hurting himself, well that’s a plus right there.

There was another one last week of him on the field at Florham too. Just doing rehab work I think. He looked in fair shape in that too. Certainly not the bloated monster some would have you expect.

All kidding aside, he looks pretty good. Maybe he has turned a corner, and is getting serious about getting into shape.

    I'm rooting for him.

You can add the fact that Tristan Wirfs was a better available OT option that we passed on.
And as of this moment - Wirfs is playing the BEST right tackle football in the NFL before his 2nd season is even over.

I’m afraid that Douglas was a bit mesmerized by the combine in his first draft and raw measurements. This comes through in Becton, Mims, Morgan and to a lesser extent Zuniga/Davis.

The good thing is that it seems as though he adjusted very well to this missteps in his second draft.

Nah, he was mesmerized by Zach at the pro day.

Considering he obviously told the niners and eagles that Zach was our pick that pro day, you may be right.

Considering both teams expressed interested in trading up with us, and an hour after that pro day the Niners traded up with Miami, and then the Eagles traded down with Miami, and then everyone in the media seemed to know our pick - its pretty likely.
