Not that anyone would ever root against their own team, but was there ever a player on the Jets that you just didn't like?
Buster Skrine…. Man he was penalty machine. Between him and the other 1st round Wilson. Sundays will never be the same. Bubby Brister, he was horrible as a mention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow what a great question! Would have to say TIm Teblow. When Tanny traded for him, that was really the beginning of the end of this franchise leading to where it is now.
For me, no question: DeWayne Robertson., I can't believe the Jets traded two first round picks and a fourth round pick for that bust. What a piece of crap.
There’s a lot of choices but I definitely despised signing Le’Veon. And he was awful here. It was tough watching David Barrett play corner and Wayne Hunter play tackle.
Santonio Holmes, a total bad apple (excuse the pun) plus the added fact the Steelers turned our 5th round pick into Antonio Brown, ffs
Popular recent choice: Jamal Adams - low hanging fruit, honestly. Listening to him bitch after games his last two years really made me "hate" a Jet for the first time.......even if he was the most talented player on the roster. Obscure past choice: Kellen Davis. Just for his 2015 player photo alone.
He was going to be my choice as well. Total D bag. 2nd choice would be Geno Smith. He also came off and someone who would be a huge douche. Current player: Ashtyn Davis because he is so bad. Jets don't seem to have a lot of douchy personalities right now.
Not factoring in what a great player he was his first run with the Jets, I really couldn't stand Revis. He was a greedy fucking prick. Then he goes off and wins a ring with the Patriots of all teams and then comes back and sucks balls. Fuck that guy.
There's a lot I could pick from over almost 60 years, but I'll go with more recent: Jamal Adams. It's close between him and Revis, but I give the nod to Adams because he was taken over Mahomes and Watson, and he was a selfish dick.
2000s -Brett Favre for half-assing it while he was here, using the Jets as a stepping stone, and showing his ass with Jenn Sterger -Jason Taylor never shoulda been a Jet 1990s -Johnny Mitchell, one of the biggest dickheads ever to play here -Neil O'Donnell, the guy was so easy to hate Recently Shoutout to Josh Bellamy. Signed here for $5 mill, had a whopping 2 catches. Now serving 3 years in prison for defrauding the US government during the Covid crisis
Brett Favre - it just seemed like such a dumb move - bringing someone in for a single season when we should have been trying to develop an FQB - as such I could just never warm to him. I don't really dislike players for being crap - I mean no-one really chooses to be a huge disappointment - I tend to save most of my bottomless pit of despair for the organisation as a whole.
