You should be used to this by now, January means another disappointing ND bowl loss. This is their own fault anyway, if they weren't always so overrated they'd get placed in bowl matchups based on their skill level rather then against teams that clearly overmatch them.
They played a good game. It's not uncommon to see the way these second halfs go. We were the under dog and we at least made them play for it. ND is still a great team and no ones BS dumpings can take that away.
We didn't give up when down by 3 TD's. They were playing for the win. And don't say it's absurd. You really don't have anything to say even.
And yet it adds up to total BS. This is how it is. It's me vs. several prickish ND haters who make Quinn Sadaam jokes. You people really aren't worth talking to in this topic. I feel like the Jets just lost and there's a bunch of Pats trolls in here.
Look all i'm saying is ND didn't deserve to be in this game. When they played the big boys this year they were SMACKED. Michigan AT HOME, Quinn looked pedestrian, against Southern Cal he looked pedestrian, and tonight he sucked. Should of lost to Michigan State and UCLA. Beating the academies, Stanford and such shouldn't get you a BCS game. ND is no match for the big boys, and it showed AGAIN. 1994 last bowl win...OUCH.
ND may have not been as good as they were in 2005 but they are still a fine elite team. Michigan was on another level. And wins are wins man. ND kicked the crap out of all the teams they were expected to. And UCLA and MSU weren't horrible teams. They were good ones. At least MSU was for a short time. If ND wasn't a match that game would have been a blow out. It wasn't.
But before I go...I gotta give you credit Dino...Unlike my friend, I don't think you used the "We played in Louisiana" excuse...
Elite team? Sure, against the softies, of course they are. Wins are wins, yeah in the NFL, LOL. You wanna compare Michigan, USC, LSU to Army, Navy, Air Force? Gimmie a break. MSU is a horrible team, and choked that one away. UCLA did beat USC, but they were another who gagged it in the end to ND. ND wasn't a match against Michigan, USC, and LSU. The Big Boys. Now no Brady Quinn and MAYBE Charlie Weis? Uh oh.
Well if we weren't a match and beat LSU then that proves my point. We beat them. We were a fine match tonight for LSU. It was a hard battle.
Someone should attempt to document the ND bias effect. We know it causes delusions that result in ND being ranked 10-15 spots higher then the deserve at any point in the season. But tonight we're seeing a new symptom, apparently it causes a 41-14 drubbing appear not to be a blowout.
Please. Things kinda change for players when you are down by more than 3 TD's At that time the score was final and all the players aren't going full speed. What a bullshit comment.
To go completely offtopic, does anyone else think that if Russell leaves early he is going to Detroit?
