Now *that* is thinking outside the box. They can't possibly be worse than they are at their main position. They should put Mims at strong safety and let him hit some people to work out all that aggression the staff have sent his way since camp.
Ducasse cauggt on with the Vikings. Mims has yet to prove he is half what Ducasse was. Mims is closer to Gholsten right now in terms of production.
Davis is pure garbage. Has no business playing. Was a horrific pick Mims was very good last year. He is now completely shot. What does that say about this coaching staff
Mims seems to have a negative football IQ. It's like he's not familiar with the offensive playbook or the NFL rulebook for that matter.
So let's say he is struggling. Does that fall on the Scouts or the GM or both because with all this talk about football IQ and interviews how does that part not show up. Of course this is the assumption that It's a Mims thing because honestly one never knows...
You're not wrong. You have to put some of it on him, but I'd also like to believe he can be coached up. That doesn't seem to be evident right now.
And Buffalo. At least he was bottom of the roster starter for few years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Could have stayed pat and took Jefferson, he was the target of the trade down in the first place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He's donezo with the Jets. Straight up bust. Good year to have multiple second rounders, go draft another Elijah Moore and roll with a hell of a WR trio. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
I just don't know. I admit I was all aboard the Douglas train, then the Saleh train (I should know better). I have no confidence in either now. Your guess is as good as mine.
It's all guessing games ATM, but would love to find out what went wrong. Big big changes for Mims coming out of college and then into a new scheme for year two. He's had his setbacks but there's just something else not happening here. Maybe the kid only works hard in the gym. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Yesterday was a game that Mims doesn't recover from. He had a golden opportunity to show everyone what he could do and he shit the bed. I doubt he ever plays another snap with this team. And while I'm still a big believer in JD, IDK what he was thinking when he drafted Mims. At the time I really questioned his decision to trade down, but then all the "experts" said that Mims was a sleeper, and should've been a first rounder so I accepted that, but I was right to question the move originally as it turns out. The "good news" is that Douglas has learned a lot since that first draft IMO, so I'll just chalk Mims up to "live and learn".
I like Douglas but his 2020 draft was garbage, 2021 draft is better with the exception of Wilson so far. But QB's are kind of crapshoots anyway. 2022 draft will determine his future
