Againts the Eagles, Zach seemed a little better on stat sheet but defense was awful one more time and we lost. Onto Saints. All we hope for is to see Zach's progress in the right direction. I actually voted Jets - I think they’re gonna win that one. Saints aren’t the same without Brees and now they’re on the road in the cold. Won’t be a blowout because the Jets aren’t good either but they should get the W.
No way ….. I don’t even think if the game was down in the dome the Saints would post a shutout. They’re not that good ….
With all due respect have you watched them at all this year? They had 2 All-Pro defenders with several other pro bowlers. Their deficiencies have been on having a second third and fourth string quarterback running the team with their top two targets missing most of the season. The defense is going to beat us into the ground.
Yes I have …. And they have struggled especially on the road. Other than that early season win in NE and the Wilson-less Seahawks they have been blown off the ball. I’m not saying the Jets are a powerhouse and while I think they will win outright if they do lose it wouldn’t surprise me. But a shutout? I just don’t see it …..
That person goes into very game thread and says each game is winnable. Just a fan with very very green glasses on. I'm with you on this though - it doesn't matter who is playing QB for Saints, they are going to smash us. We gave up 185 yards on the ground yesterday to the Eagles. Kamara + Ingram are going to eat us alive. We can't stop a nosebleed. Sanders and Gainwell had 8 catches for like 50 yards, Kamara is infinitely better than both of those backs. Line opened at -6 and I'm already tempted to take it regardless if Taysom Hill plays or not (reading he has Mallet finger)
Yeah, every team's game plan the final 5 games against the Jets should be to RUN THE BALL. The Jets (who historically have been able to) cannot stop the run this year. It is brutal to watch. The Saints should have a field day running the ball. They can also throw screens, which we know the Jets D also can't stop. Have to hope the Saints make a few mistakes and turnovers to keep the Jets in it. Offensively, I hope Zach Wilson continues to get a feel for the NFL and makes a few good plays. I think the Jets can keep it close, but lose like 27-20. At one point it is 27-13 and the Jets get a late TD.
That defense is going to give us fits. Won't be shocked to see Wilson take a step back and we get blown out. Hill might rush for 100+ yards and that's on top of whichever RB plays rushing for 100+ himself. They might not need to complete a pass to win this game by 3 scores.
Get used to it until the Jets aren't the Pop Warner version anymore. And you know what? You don't have to like it...
Jets win…in some distant future…in another world…in a time and place unknown to us mere mortals. Think I’ll make a File Gumbo with corn bread…maybe a bread pudding with burbon sauce too. It’s all about the tailgate fellas…
The Saints defense is ranked one better than Cincinnati and one less than Indy. They aren't the 85 Bears.
I'm not happy the Jets are where they are. I'm not liking it, but I understand the process. If you want to endlessly whine about it, that is your right, especially since you are a Mod. Godspeed, CMan!
