...this season is the New York City Football Club. Yes, the Jets are so bad that I've been following MLS this season. The NYCFC have the top scorer in the league. They just beat New England in the playoffs. They play in New York City (Yankee Stadium). And, though I don't miss tokens, the NYCFC have a boss logo. TL;DR: if the Jets got you down and you want to watch winning football, give NYCFC a shot. They're playing again on Sunday in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Been a fan since year one (2015). Been to many games at YS (can't wait for the new stadium). Helped me ease off the Jets a bit the last several years, bless 'em. This playoff run has been so fun! One more to go!
Saturday 3pm on ABC! Portland hosts, as the higher seeded team. When all cylinders are firing, City play a very attractive style of soccer, lots of off-ball movement, switching point of attack, and intricate passing interchanges. Not unlike their big brother team in England Not the same technical quality, but still.
Single game final. The Cup final has always been single-game, but this year they switched all the rest of the playoff games to single-game elimination format, rather than 2-leg home/away, and most people think it's a big improvement in the quality of the games.
First trophy for a NY sports team in about a decade! Its been a brutal 10 years. Been a fan of them since the start, they have come a long way
Well there's your problem right there. Arsenal fans are manic-depressive and delusional. I went to City Hall to celebrate today!
