I don't understand why everyone cares about fairness between the two QBs. People in Florida don't even care about the Jaguars. If the negativity of the Jets news coverage bothers you so much, turn off the news and stick to Jets related stuff. Thats mostly what I do.

Lawrence and Wilson seem pretty even across the board, with Wilson being a good amount more turnover prone (although Lawrence fumbles more)

Neither look good. And that's fine. They went to the two worst teams in the league, its not easy to go to a bad team and look great.

He didn't look really good yesterday.

    He looked better than bad.

I think he looked really good in the first half. He was throwing missiles all over the field and completing almost everything. He was also extremely decisive which was great to see after being very indecisive most of this year.

The wheels fell off a bit in the 2nd half for sure.

First half yesterday he looked really good. Did everything you could want a QB to do and did it well. Quick, decisive, played within the system. The second half he had one three and out and then had to play catch up the next time he had the ball which was the fourth quarter. INT was bad, he says it slipped out of his hand so it's not like that's the ball he intended to throw. Certainly didn't look great but I wouldn't say he looked bad in the second half.

But we're just going in circles at this point. Who cares. The facts are it was a step forward which is all you can ask for.

I think it's pretty obvious Zach is a rhythm passer right now and the offense went almost 1.5 hours of real time without completing a first down (only 3 plays in the 3rd quarter and including half time obvious)

I wouldn't even say the wheels fell off in the second half. He was fine. His INT was a boneheaded throw. He missed a big 2nd and 10 to Moore but then threw a nice 50/50 downfield that hit Moore in the head.

That's insane, but this is just baffling:

    How is that possible?

Chicago fans think Fields is their QB messiah and his play has been every bit as bad as Wilson's. He's thrown 4 TD's in 10 games FFS, yet the media loves him. His completion percentage is 0.1 better than Wilson. Passing yards per game is 136. I don't know how anyone can say Fields looks like an NFL QB while saying Wilson doesn't. Mind blowing.[IMG]

I was thinking about this too and thinking about how davis never had drop issues in tennesee. I think it's because zach really rips the ball and our WRs haven't adjusted to the speed of it

I agree that his receivers aren't helping, but he also has to learn to put a little more touch on some passes, and improve his accuracy - just because a receiver is able to get his hands on a ball doesn't mean that it's always a catchable ball. But still, this statistic shows that it's not all Zach's fault.

Because Justin Fields run and makes normal plays look flashy. No one outside of Mac Jones has looked the part outside of a few games here and there.

I think he made some big boy throws in that Steelers game. That's about it though.

Wilson aside I thought yesterday s game gave LFleur a bit more positive indictment

He's getting Morre more involved , showed some innovative plays with the flea flickers and ends around plus he called some good throws for Zach

Well ...gives me hope the Jets can rise like Phoenix

I still saw passes that were behind the guys, and one sack he took when he locked in on the receiver so much he was unaware of the pressure coming from his right. That interception at the time upset me, seemed another of his passes that he overthrew. But ill accept it was a slip from his hand if that is what he said. The Game on a whole was weird. Three possessions and three touchdowns then they just shut us out. But Ill say that I felt like he had a bit of progression in his overall play. Lets see how he finishes out the season.

I call BS. I saw Trevor throw the most egregious INT off back foot with Zero chance of getting caught only by the defender. He has looked miserable with a flash here and there. No rhythm wit receivers or the offense.

That second half against the Steelers was very good. Let's be fair here. And there have been plenty of plays where Wilson looks like an NFL QB but there are some that won't admit it. I have no problem saying Fields and Lawrence made great plays or played good games.

IDK what qualifies as a "drop". Is it simply any pass that a receiver gets a hand on? From what I've seen Zach needs to keep improving on his accuracy which has suffered under duress, and that has also caused him to throw passes harder than they need to be at times. But a big part of this problem is fixing the pass protection, which also involves Zach getting better at setting it up. So I think Zach is a contributor to this, it's not just poor performance by the receivers. But given Zach had great accuracy in college, I believe he can fix this as long as he fixes the other things I mentioned.

I would consider the pass that Corey Davis dropped on the play he got injured a drop, as well as Elijah Moore not catching that 50/50 jump ball. Also if I'm remembering correctly, Zach threw a really nice ball on the run at the end of the game to Moore and it hit him right in the helmet, that's also a drop IMO.

But for that metric, I believe if it's a catchable ball and they don't catch it after getting some part of their body on it, like their chest or hands.
