On the bright side, it’s both a tremendous Edge class in terms of elite prospects, and also high quality later 1st/2nd round type prospects. I’d love Hutch but you can still add talent there even if he goes before their pick
Nice, he had a great showing against NFL prospect tackles at Ohio State yesterday so let’s see if he stacks a good day against a premier OL program like Iowa.
If we can't get Hutchinson by the time NYJ is OTC, - then I'd like a slight trade down to get George Karlaftis (Purdue).
We'll see what happens, but the Jets drop to 4 after winning today and the Jags losing. Seahawks play tomorrow night, but as of now they sit at 5. so the Jets have 4+5 for the moment.
Wasn't sure where to put this, but Nakobe Dean was a beast yesterday. He might have played himself into the 1st round. In a scenario where a trade down happens, I'd be open to taking him.
I’m in on him or Lloyd in the first round honestly. They’re both game changers. And hearing about Dean’s background as a great academic student (engineering major) and leader, he sounds more and more like Luke Kuechly every time I see him play or hear about him. I’m not sure he makes it out of the top 10 at this point.
I'm changing my mind regarding Hamilton. He would make our secondary a lot better as we need a playmaker/ball hawk back there. I'd rather get him with Seattle's pick, but he won't fall that far. If Hutchinson and Thibodeaux are gone at our pick, then I'd be happy with Hamilton, Neal, maybe Karlaftis, or a trade down and taking one of Cross (OT MS St.), Linderbaum, or a WR. I am still totally against drafting a DT or a CB high. We have too many other needs, and DT is not a need.
