Can we find a new kicker?

waiting for Amendola to come good sounds like BS to me...

 

If only Amendola spent as much time practicing kicks as he does with preacher curls, the Jets might really have something.
In all seriousness, maybe he should switch to punter‍♂️

Amendola sucks and always have. Big leg, but no accuracy, and this is even before he came to the Jets. I was actually surprised he beat out Ficken, as bad as Ficken was. Or maybe he didn't and was just handed the job. He best showing was when he was a punter in Mann's absence. We need someone better.

 

We need to be working out kickers now, so that they can prove they can kick in the type of weather conditions that they will get in Metlife in the Winter.

Working out kickers in the spring and summer is what we have done in the past and it proves nothing, except leg strength. Too many kickers can only kick in good weather or in an indoor stadium and we have neither!

Perhaps there is someone JD can pick up in the next draft in a later round like he did Mann before. We don't even need the Pro Bowl kicker (well would be nice and we had one but idiot Mac let him go), just someone like Mann at P, who is at least competent enough.

At this point in the season, it's slim pickings. Kicker situation I am hoping will be addressed this offseason.

 

The problem with working out kickers at this time of year is that there aren't very many available at this time of year, and those who are, are either no good or are old and over the hill. You can only work them out when most of them are available, i..e., March or April, or in the months following.

 

If we work out the best kindergartners now, we'll have a scouting edge just in time for our next postseason appearance.

Our new kicker looks just as bad as the last one - misses his firsty extra point kick!

 

Douglas needs to realize kickers are the highest scorers on a team. You have to invest in a good one.

Only the Jets could get rid of one bad kicker in camp to roster a worse kicker, then get rid of him and bring in an even worse kicker.

Can we PAY for a good kicker instead of shopping at Dollar General for them??
