i agree, hows about we finish rebuilding our OL so theres actually holes for RB's to get through? considering we only have one back who can avg over 4 YPC behidn this line.

lynch wont last till our pick anyways, I say draft Justin Blalock/Carriker/Woodley first rd. any of em if theyre there.

agreed, but if anything, let's see if Bush drops pretty far and think of him. atleast he would be a good compliment to Leon.

Dont get your hopes high on Michael BUsh, he is going to get a medical red shirt and is probably going back to school. Ive heard he is walking with a limp and probably wont be ready for the combine if he were to declare.

I always say that one fumble on MNF against the bears ruined his career. Confidence or what, he was never the same.

Marshawn Lynch won't go top ten, but I can't imagine that the Giants won't take him before the Jets.

As to previous inquiries, Blaylock and Barlow are to be cut. Our depth chart should read: Running Back X, Leon Washington, Cedric Houston.

I like Lynch a lot, but if the Jets are going to get an RB, I'd prefer more of a power back, to complement Washington.

You could be right. His family seems to think he's leaving, though.

Michael Bush to make decision soon about NFL

Lynch could definately come in and start if we drafted him. Leon and Cedric are already gettting limited carries and barlow was just a desperation short-term thing.

What are you talking about? Houston is solid as heck. He runs hard and low to the ground, he breaks tackles and always falls forward. Houston had a great last few games last season with no offensive line.
Has he been struggling the last few games? Yes he has, but he also has been injured.
You obviously are not seeing it, but Mangini sure is and thats all that counts.

We need a fast pass rushing LB and we are going to need a CB. But if theres a good DT out there when we pick I think I would take him. Move Robertson to DE, I think he would be great there.

We will see if Mangini is "seeing it" during the offseason. Houston is an average at best RB, not feature back material.

And yet, Mangini was apparently so convinced of Houston's star ability that he traded for an exact Houston clone in the beginning of the season, despite having two other running backs on the depth chart.

I think Houston is a fine runner, but he's also shown a disturbing propensity to get hurt this year.

I'm talking about through this season. Mangini has only been here one season.
Houston started the season inactive, now he has cleary become Mangini's number one back when healthy.

And sorry but Kevin Barlow is far from a Houston clone.

I know traffic's a little slow, but this guy is probably a zero chance of ever being a Jet, this thread should be in the draft forum. We're in the playoffs, leave the draft talk for afterward.

Barlow, Kevan: 131 attempts, 370 yards, 2.8 AVG, 6 touchdowns.
Houston, Cedric: 113 attempts, 374 yards, 3.3 AVG, 5 touchdowns.

They're the same guy. Cedric Houston worked out slightly better, but he'd by no means a back you can hang your hat out. I'm not even a Washington-as-#1-Back guy, and it's clear that Washington was Mangini's preferred rusher.

I remember that MNF game ... had like 125 and was tearing up the bears. He had a great cutback move and big play speed. I never understood why we dumped the guy. I beleive he averaged over 4.0 yds a carry. Somebody told me that they (coslet) hated the way he danced in the hole. Truthfully i think he #2 status ruined him(the savior)and made people expect more from him. If he was a 3rd rounder he would've lasted longer.
