We need another year to see what the houston/leon combo is capable of. We should use that 1st rounder to beef up our D instead.

I have seen Lynch in a few games this year and I have not been impressed. I just want to go on record now as saying I would hate the pick if the Jets pick Lynch.

I like the ability of Houston and Washington but neither are everydown backs. The Jets need a guy they can feed 22-30 times a game and wear down the defense who can break the long run. Right now Cedric and Leon are not that.

True about Coslet but... it was between Thomas and Emitt Smith... I don't think anyone would dispute the Jets shit the bed on that draft...

The time for a chance at a quality back in the first round has come and gone with our playoff berth. Our first pick should be D-line all the way.

Whatever happened to Michael Bush? I know he broke his leg, but does that just take him completely out of the equation?

I believe they will put a first round tender on him & then be open to deal for less. I can't see the Chargers wanting to spend so much for LTs back up. Turner will come here fresh as a rookie, with as much talent of any RB in the draft & already familiar with our O..

Our back of the future is Cedric Houston and Leon Washington. Get out of here with that garbage! Dont disrespect Cedric and Leon by making a stupid thread like this.
We have plenty more needs that we will adderess.

We'll have a much better chance of getting Bush or Hunt and that's ok with me because I think we need a big back who will make an awesome duo with leon.Hunt can carry the ball 25+ times a game but Bush is just a freak and would be awesome in the NFl so either way i'll be happy.:)

I like him but I don't think we need another Nt because D-Rob played pretty well this year.If we go defense I think Lamarr Woodley or Adam Carriker would be the best way to go if they are there.

i like Kenneth Darby from Alabama. he had a crappy year this past year, but in previous years, he's had awesome vision and he's very shifty -- his running style reminds me a lot of curtis martin.

the other guy i like to fall to us in the late second round is Selvin Young from Texas. he's a strong runner who can break off big runs.

both of these guys don't have bigtime speed, but they are proven, tough runners which will probably translate well to the NFL.

regardless, i think a RT is essential before we take a RB.

    cheers

I don't think I have ever seen so much love for an average at best player than I see on here for Houston. He is a back up, short yardage type at best in this league..
