That dirty hit on the sideline is when he got hurt? I thought it was the attempted sack which wasn’t dirty.
As bad as the line has been at times, Wilson can't hold the ball that long in the backfield and expect to stay healthy in the long run.
There you go. I didn’t bring up the topic, I was just asking a question. I remember him popping right up after that dirty hit. Maybe you knew something that I didn’t like he was really hurt and faking it. Apparently, you don’t know shit. Sorry for asking.
Oh if it was his shoulder I'd have been walking around banging a big ol bass drum that read, "I told you so".
There is no right answer ATM. But I think we are taking the best course. White has played great so we'd be crazy not to explore how deep that goes. Zach was an expensive pick and we'd be crazy not to continue to see what we have. So, I think White starting now and Zach returning in a few games is probably the right path for us.
Do you think Wilson got hurt because of his "small frame?" That's really my point. I don't think it was.
They're saying that because including preseason, White has had to come out of 3 of the 4 games in which he has played due to injury. The injury in the Colts game was pathetic. He was barely hit on the inside of his forearm. IMO Zach did not have injury concerns coming out of college. A number of you who didn't and don't like Zach, trotted that out as a reason why we shouldn't draft him, but it was always bogus. Zach took a lot of big hits last season and was never injured.
Guys 3 times the size of him get knee injuries. Maybe he should have beefed up that PCL. You're too much.
I'm not taking it personal. No worries. I respect your opinions as well. I just completely disagree with you here also haha. Outside of a handful of series (most notably the Titans game) Zach has looked bad. Missing easy throws, passing up the short gains to play hero ball, bad interceptions ect. I really want him to succeed. Those flashes of brilliance are exciting. But for me, I don't care who succeeds and if Mike White can be the guy, so be it. And you're right, he probably won't. But IMO it doesn't hurt as much as you make it seem it would to let him play out the season. And White isn't going anywhere. He will get tendered with the 1st round pick. Nobody is giving up a first round pick for White.
I thought both plays were dirty? The one on the sidelines explained away as legal as he was judged as an RB but I thought the sack attempt was an RTP call that never got the flag, sure it was a late hit but hey that was 3 weeks ago, memory ain't what it was lol
I thought the sideline hit was dirty but legal and I thought the hit he got hurt on was clean but illegal as it was late if that makes sense.
Does it matter? We are trying to determine if his "slight build" was the reason he got hurt. Maybe I am misinformed, but did he have a previous knee injury that I don't know about that made him susceptible to this one?
Good, because I think we have always gotten along, and I believe I have always respected you and your opinion. I think you're one of the more knowledgeable posters here. You may be right that it won't hurt Zach as much as I think it will. If White does start, I hope that you're right. I just don't want to see the Jets screw Zach up.
I only questioned you about the notion he got hurt on a dirty hit. That’s all I was interested in. I thought you must have read somewhere that he DID indeed get hurt on that play despite how sprung back up. I have no opinion or interest on the futile “he got hurt because of his frame” debate as it’s impossible prove or disprove. I’m sure both sides think they are on the right side of that argument with no evidence.
