I was excited for last night's game, hoping White could do more magic

I was excited from last Sunday until the second quarter last night for what could be, but Jets luck and reality came crashing down.

Our Defense is a joke, and we have a defensive HC that doesn't have a clue. Our offense line is horrible even though we have tried to solidify it the last two years by throwing draft picks and money at it.

I have given up on this season, and once again ask why can't we get a capible coaching staff? Yes I'm venting, because it is another year down the drain and we aren't any closer to the playoffs. I was two years old when we won the Superbowl and I've almost given up on us ever winning another in my lifetime.

Since the Jets are already a joke, maybe we should bring back Rex, at least he made things entertaining. When will the Jets get a proven HC? I say throw enough money as Jim Harbaugh, until he says yes.

I can't be the only person wanting Johnson to sell the team.

Lost all interest in the game last night after White was knocked out.

A bit of an over reaction? This board was praising JD and the coaching staff last week. The truth is we still lack talent on this team. We literally only have one quality starting LBer and now zero Safeties. I am not sure what is going on with the d-line they seem to run themselves out of the play or get blown off the ball. Rome was not built in a day and we need more players.

The o-line is playing much better and as soon as Becton comes back and we can replace GVT the line will be average and with a little luck better than average.

Well White was on his way to another huge game before getting knocked out. Not a huge blow as he seems to be ok now and with the way the defense played the Jets still would of wound up on the short end.

The OL is improving but still a work in progress. Let’s see what happens when Becton comes back and I’m sure JD is gonna add another huge piece this offseason and maybe even a couple of pieces.

I don’t know what to say about the defense. The DL is talented - the Colts OL is talented also but this DL should not be allowing 261 rushing yards. There is no push up front - the need for outside pass rushers is glaring. Safety is another glaring issue.

Keep in mind this is a rebuilding year and this is how rebuilding teams generally look. Fantastic one week and horrible the next …

I guess that you didn't get the memo that this year wasn't about wins and losses. If you expected it to be, then that's on you. This year was about developing the young players and seeing who could help us going forward. We were starting the most young players and rookies of any team in the NFL and maybe in NFL history aside from maybe an expansion team.

Our OL is NOT horrible. It was the first 2-3 games, but is playing much better now. We have one weak link in GVR, and JD may have just taken care of that for the rest of this season by trading for LDT. I'm certain that the RG position will be addressed in FA or in the draft in a significant fashion.

Rex? SMH He was embarrassing, not entertaining, unless you have some sort of twisted, sick sense of humor.

Same. This year was about watching Zach and our young offensive weapons develop. Then it became watching the meteoric rise of Mike White. Once he left.... I fast-forwarded through the rest of the game (had it recorded, starting watching at 10, did so much fast forwarding that I actually caught up to live action in the 4th quarter, and turned it off lol).

Too soon for me to write off the coaching staff.

I do, although I didn't see the end of the game.....yet. However, from what I saw in the first half and the beginning of the second, the Colt offensive line completely dominated the Jets DL and that was the story of the game. There were gapping holes for their backs to run through, and plenty of protection for Wentz to throw behind. It's very concerning because the D effort was poor in the Pats game, barely minimal in the Bengals game (except for the great Lawson play) and again poor in this game. As much as it pains me to say this, I think we need to start drafting defense again.

After White was hurt, I had to ask myself why do I keeping torturing myself by being a Jets fan. Is it a latent form of masochism?

When Josh Johnson went in, I had to admit -- once and for all -- that the Super Bowl III curse is real. Yes, Namath did sell his soul (and the franchise) to the devil in exchange for winning that game. There's nothing we can do about it because the devil has a no-returns policy.

If the Jets some day manage to draft a FQB who's a worthy heir to Namath, I have to doubt the guy will be killed one day by a falling meteor as he drives home from practice.

We can't have nice things. When he was getting worked on after the TD throw, I had a bad feeling.

I was pleasantly surprised by our third QB holding the fort as well as he did.

    Says a lot about Zach.

Oh they will be - I have a gut feeling that may have been the plan all along but after these recent performances everybody can see the lack of core players. The Jets need an outside pass rush, LBs who can cover (and depth) and a safety. They’ll start in FA but as I mentioned in another post it wouldn’t surprise me to see them draft 3 defensive starters with their first 4 picks in the first two rounds. They can use help just about everywhere on defense except interior DL and maybe the CB position although they could sign an FA there as well.

I wonder sometimes had the Jets kept Pennington or even Favre if they would of won the SB one of those 09-10 years …

We've thrown for 800 yards over the last two games with two guys not good enough to be NFL starters in multi-year careers.

What that says about Zach is that he just blew chunks all over the place and basically destroyed any chance the Jets had of assembling a consistent offense.

The boring throws. Make them or watch scrubs take your job.

The non Zach weeks has shown that we have playmakers on offense. All Zach or any QB has to do is get them the ball accurately and on time and they can do some damage.
