Good teams making a run will look at bad teams with a good player, and go after that one good player. At least one team making a run this season, saw Denzel Mims on the Jets and thought "why not try to get him". My guess is that team was either the Saints or the Packers. Most likely the Pack. They got a close up look at Mims during TC and might have liked what they saw.....Pack is a top team heading into the POs and may have looked to bolster their WR core with a tall, good young WR. They saw Mims as a contributor THIS SEASON, not a developmental players. That tells me at least one good team with a good coaching staff and good front office believes in Mims. Hopefully, our staff will too.

As usual, I totally disagree with your take on this. I think he has proven that he belongs and can play in this league. He has made some great catches, gets YAC, doesn't drop a lot of passes like Davis, and with his size, speed, and catch radius, I think most every team would be quite happy to add Mims to their roster. If nothing else, he's a great deep threat and Red Zone threat. Mims definitely isn't lazy. Saleh has praised Mims numerous times for his work ethic and great practices he's had. The only reason he hasn't had more production this year is the food poisoning putting him behind the 8 ball and his stupid OC expecting him to learn the slot WR position.

He has 29 catches for 466 yards mid way through his second season. Regardless of circumstances (otherwise known as excuses), Mims has not been a productive receiver in the NFL.

There is nothing you can use to point to the fact that he is. Does he have potential? Yup. Can he be a good NFL receiver one day? YUP!

Is he a proven asset that a playoff team would desire for their playoff push with their proven quarterback? NOPE!

I'm glad we kept him. As the season winds down and all hope is lost hopefully Saleh will have the good sense to trot out the younger players and see what we have so we can navigate the off season.

Packers dont have any proven assets at WR other than Adams so he’d fit right in

Hasn't even played 16 games yet. 466 yards in 14 games ain't bad. Even better considering 4 of those 14 games he got like roughly 8 snaps total

everyone is in love with Elijah Moore but the facts are if you projected his 6 games out to Mims' 14, Moore is less productive

Not quite true. They have Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Marquez Valdez-Scandling who is on IR. He would have been a great fit for them, but thankfully, we still have him.

None of those guys are good football players, at least anymore (Cobb used to be)

Looking like they should have taken the Day 3 pick and run

Jk but wonder if he gets buried on the depth chart for good or if he can earn his way back

Jesus. Look at what you have to do to defend your boy. Comparing a rookie half a year in to a player who is 1.5 seasons into his career. He only played 14 games because he's been injured or benched. Your post reads him playing 14 games, barely played in a few, is somehow a plus for his case. it's impossible to think the CS is wrong about this guy right now.

You're also completely omitting touchdowns for a very obvious reason in an already silly comparison.

Relax that was posted before last nights game. Mims had a bad game and Moore played well. I didn’t omit anything because Moore didn’t have any touchdowns prior to last night

Maybe we should have accepted the pack of bazooka gum and used jock strap for this kid. Might be time to understand why he has been so buried on depth chart.

Looks like what would happen if Stephen Hill and Justin McCareins had a baby.

I was clamming for DM to play, but he totally f'd up, so it's back to the bench for him and let the professionals play. He'll get another chance, let's hope he doesn't blow it again.
