In the tradition of Jets v Colts, please use this thread to guarantee something about this game. I guarantee that Troy Aikman will be visibly drunk on the broadcast.
I guarantee that no matter what happens on Thursday night, someone will be complaining about something on this forum.
Michael Carter rushes for over 100 yards and Moore has over 100 yards receiving. And all of the coverage on Thursday are low lights of the Jets and shots at the franchise to piss us all off.
I guarantee Colts will take away the short game and Mike White will torch Colts secondary with 3 long TD’s. Mims will catch one of those TD’s.
I will simply be happy if White performs efficiently and the Jets win. As long as White doesn’t revert to 3rd string FA status….. Let’s keep the ball rolling at the very least.
I guarantee the “QB competition“ narrative that is starting to boil will be reduced to a simmer very quickly because the Colts take away almost everything underneath and Deforest Buckner is in the backfield half the game.
I guarantee that if (or should I say WHEN) this happens I'm going to like it. lol! Don't let it get to your chest Denzel
I hate guarantees but the likely outcome is we are humiliated on national television. Yesterdays game was great and we sure needed some hope. However, lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. First things first. Micheal Carter deserves rookie of the week. He probably wont get it, but after the workhorse performance he put on he deserves it. Mike White deserves offensive player of the week. 400 yards, 3 TDs, and a win in his first NFL start. He deserves it. It would be almost pointless to do a studs and duds thread because we had so many studs. Everyone played like a stud and made a big play when needed. Even GVR had some great run blocking moments. I'm pround of the guys for giving us that. Second things second - that was a total trap game. An apparition where a drained and over confident team comes out flat team and makes the other team look unreasonably good. Look at the circumstances. They came off a big win while we came off a terrible loss. Their facing a QBs first career start and its their 3rd road game in a row. They were flat, a half step slower, and had no fire the entire game. Not once during the entire game did they worry about losing, until the helmet to helmet call, and then it was too late. As excited as I was too see us look competent, that was a optical illusion. It doesn't mean we don't have some hope going forward, and we don't know for sure what we got with Mike White, but I wouldn't expect to see a performance like that again. Okay, maybe against Miami because they look like we did last season. I'll be sunnysiding till Thursday because I hope for miracles, and would really like to see us make a run at that 7th playoff spot. Yeah, that's how much I let hope run wild. Its just so much funner to have that hope. But here on monday morning after such a good game I had to go on record with what is most likely the reality. That was a throwaway game. A gift that we likely wont get again until sometime after week 12 when we may trap someone else. No guarantees. But I really, really want to win on Thursday and go 3-5. Cause if we go 6-3 the second half of the season then maybe...etc.
I guarantee that somebody will be unhappy if we win with Mike White again. 'Damn you, you pesky Wilson haters.'
