Yes opening day 1992 he threw for 366 yards in a loss at Atlanta. That basically was all she wrote for him…
Well they game planned correctly then … it’s just one game you’re correct. I’ve mentioned in other posts I’ll be happy if White turns into a dependable back up for the Jets long term. But who knows maybe he’s better than that…
Im far from an expert so I might be reading it wrong, but im not so sure those options weren't always there for Zach, but he chose to look for longer passes rather than the easy fast 5-10 yarders.
Smith went 20/24 for 195yds and 2TD and 0 ints today - he's not doing our draft stock any favours with play like that!
Did you read his combine history? I know it will never happen again but he was rising on the draft board until combines, he scored really bad on his combines and dropped because of it. How awesome would it be if we had a repeat to a lesser degree of Brady. I know it’s crazy to think about but that would be nice. I missed majority of game so I can’t say anything about his play. I’m just glad Jets won.
Would be something if mo Lewis hit on Bledsoe created brady and then they returned the favor with judon on Wilson for Mike white… lmao
We're a bunch of Jersey and Long Island slopfucks of fun during/after a Jets win. And it's fucking awesome.
I hate to think this... but... could it be that the guys in the locker room like Mike White more than Zach Wilson? Nah.... that would be unprofessional an' shit...
Here's some takeaways from the game today: 1. As I've stated in other threads, Zach is no where near ready for the bigs--today proved that there are opportunities in this offense and he's just over his head. Time will tell if he has what it takes to step up at this level. Right no though, looks likes he needs a redshirt year. 2. People are wondering if the coaching is any better than years prior--I would say yes. Overall, our defense is playing better and the team is showing better resilience than the Bowles or Gase era. There's more of a together element and it does look like the culture is less toxic. 3. Mike White always had the tangibles. I reviewed his scouting report when he was coming out. The dude was throwing over 90 in high school as a pitcher and he's a big guy. He has the goods. The biggest issues was the processing and intangibles--but apparently his protection was so terrible it was hard to tell. If he genuinely learned the game--the kid has the stuff to compete. 4. The defense looks foundationally really solid, I think with more time playing together it will only get better. We need Mosely or Davis out there as a signal caller--made a huge difference. When we get Lawson back and maybe draft another pass rusher, it will be at the next level. This was a much needed win for this franchise--
This is a great look for Joe Douglas, who rolled with Mike White as the backup QB when there was a near unanimous WTF and looks very smart at this moment. Though too bad he panicked and traded for Joe Flacco
Im not sure if he panicked … I think he simply realized after Zach went down that he only had White with no prior starts and Johnson on the roster.
