Whatever. The guy wants to put Ben Watson on this pedestal when he hasn't even played a full season yet is hillarious. He's a great talent, but that isn't nearly enough to take him over a Laveranues Coles. Gimmie a break.
I may not agree with it, but I can see his point. It's much harder to find TEs with Watson's physical ability than it is to find a WR of Coles' ability.
But what good is he if he can't stay on the field... he may turn out to be the defensive John Abraham
I don't remember if he asked that specifically, but he cut me off before the break after he said something. How so? Watson has been injury prone! You find me a receiver as tough as Coles and goes out every play starting through the injuries like he does and continues to take big hits and keeps getting up. People underrate Laveranues so bad.
A lot of people underrate him, and there are a number of people that overrate him. Again (I'll say it for the millionth time), I never said I agree with him, but his premise isn't completely "wrong".
He asked you if Dallas was worse that the Jets then why are they 3 point dogs and the Jets 9... He let there be a long silence as if you were on the line stumped with no answer... then he went to commercial... what a dick
Actually, he didn't say that at all. He said there's a reason that the Jets are bigger underdogs than Dallas... and it's because the Pats are much, much better than the Seattle. There's no point in even comparing them. That's why the spread is larger in Jets/Pats. Not once did he ever say Dallas is better than the Jets, or even imply it. I know the board has an agenda against this man's opinions, but come on, it's silly to just make things up to get on him, too.
Nobody is doubting that New England is better than Seattle. But don't sit there(Mike) and try to mention bad Jets losses when Dallas just lost at home to 3-13 Detroit AT HOME and 5-11 Washington on the road! They stumbled into the playoffs while the Jets have won 6 of 8, 5 of 6, 3 in a row. I'll say it again. Mangini has a better shot to win in New England than Tuna does in Seattle. Solely because of the familiarity and the streak New York is on...Dallas is on a downward spiral, his love for Tuna is so old.
That's not what he was doing... the subject came up due to his buddy Parcells being questioned... It was clearly a Dallas/Parcells vs Jets/Mangini comparison...
If you really can't see what he was talking about, then there's no use in discussing it. I have to admit I'm a little surprised at the blind hatred for this guy, who has been very, very supportive of the Jets the entire season. But then again, anytime anyone says something that can be perceived as slightly negative, he is a brainless clown who has only one agenda in life, and that is to bash the Jets any chance he gets.
I know the answer I know!! It's because Dallas's point spread is against a DIFFERENT TEAM! They are playing a team called the "Seahawks". The Jets are playing a team called the "Patriots". See, Fat Mike. That's why comparing those point spreads makes no sense! Looks like you've been freebasing crisco again, eh fat man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Uhh... why are you backing up the point that Francesa made, and then the very next second you're bashing him?
Supportive for the Jets in what way? Talking about them 20 minutes in a 5 hour show? This show just shies away from the Jets, face it. Russo calling the Jets "Sexless." Rarely mentioning the Jets, downplaying the Jets, disrespecting them to an extent... Of course they just have a bias AGAINST the Jets. No question.
