The way we lost was due to CJ being out. For 3 quarters against Buffalo in 2019, we looked like a contender. And then we were lost. With CJ out, the defense was lost. If CJ was in, we're not talking about the way we lost. We're talking about a 30-17 loss. Yes, I believe CJ's leadership is that meaningful.
Losing In that way, by that many points. That should never be expected In the NFL. Ever. There Is no excuse for how bad this team looks. Period.
Then that's a flaw the CS needs to correct. CJ is 1 of 11. He's not even the DC. He's not the only Vet on defense is he? Where's the leadership? Is the entire defense fine with letting CJ do all the thinking? If they are, this team is far more pathetic than the record shows.
I've never been big on It honestly. I've played along with It though at times. This is beyond rookie BS though. Simply unacceptable. All the way around. For sure.
Couldn't agree with you more. I can understand losing because your best player is missing, but putting forth no effort and being made to look like a peewee football team is not an option in the NFL no matter the circumstances. Had they lost 35-17 without CJM, nobody would have freaked out the way we all have, and rightfully so I might add.
Yes. He's was in the secret society where they have the cure for cancer and all the anti aging drugs. Woody really wanted the team so he withheld it all from poor Leon
That might be taking it a bit far but I have the idea that wealthier people have better access to healthcare than those facing poverty.
Come on, man - that's sociology, not politics. And you're the guy who brought up the "secret society." Pretty sure we were both far from serious anyway.
Carroll did a great job at Seattle. He was hired as the coach and GM in 2010, and completely turned over their roster that year, except QB where Hassleback was entrenched. Still went to the playoffs that season and began building the legion of boom. In 2012 he took Wilson in the 3rd round, which was huge. Not just because he found a top QB, but because all he spent on him was a 3rd. That helped complete the legion of boom as he took Bobbie Wagner and Bruce Irvin in the first 2 rounds (and Jeremy Lane in the 6th). Imagine getting a top 10 QB, LB, DE, and CB in one draft. That's how you go to the Superbowl.
He might have taken another HOF QB as the 5th off the board this season. People are complaining that we lost to "dink and dunk Mac Jones". Not me. People seem to think its easy to be just a game manager, but its not. And Jones isn't just a game manager. He is an exceptional game manager, running the offense efficiently and almost always making the best decision under pressure. Its hard to say what his ceiling is but its getting higher every week.
Your second paragraph 1st sentence says it all as well as, no one, as in no one, showing any kind of emotion and that is exactly the way this team plays, uninspired unemotional FB - if that is what you want to call it.
