What was your favorite play of the 2006 season? The Jets this year were able to add the big play to their offense that we haven't seen in years. This year has been very fun and entertaining. These are the plays i thought were the top plays of the year for our Jets. My favorite is Cotchery's catch vs. the Pats.
I have to second the "cotch catch"! That was absolutely phenomenal! It also made ESPN's #3 play of 2006. Peace The Mezz
The best single play was Cotch's catch and run against NE but I voted Leon b/c the stakes were much higher.
Thought the Coles run & catch was better Not to take anything away from Cocth, but his catch was more of a fluke then a product of skill and sheer will, like Cole's catch was
if they went on to win, the cotchery play gets it, but given the circumstances I woke up my whole house when Leon broke off that play.
Ellis folding up Brady to end at NE. Then the ensueing celebration as Brady sits on the field. Hope to see it again.
My favorite moment was when Chad was waving his arms to fire up the crowd, after he got knocked out against the Texans.
Even though the result of the game killed the plays signifcance, At the time the play occured i would definately say Miller's run back against the Colts, but factoring in the results of the games it it definately Leon' run.
I would go with the Coles TD if the Jets hadn't lost that game. I have to go with the Leon screen because, not only was it an amazing play, but it won the game.
I voted for Leon's catch and run at Miami. It's the only play on there from a win except for Nugent's kick on the same drive. And Leon's play is what set it up.
Yes, that should be an entry and I might have picked it. It sealed the biggest win of the year and set us up for the rest of the season.
