Yeah, when players change teams now, don't they have to go through a Covid protocol quarantine for a week or so?
Was White an absolute abomination last week? Shit, some posters here said he could actually move the offense (as suily as that sounds.) At what point do you just shut the fuck up? We get it. You hate Douglas. Did he bang your wife/sister/mother? Seriously.
Ah yes, the old “Fail for Flacco” plan….modeled after the “Tank for Trevor” that didn't work out last year….sigh, The Jets
White threw a touchdown (but only on a drive set up by Wilson) and two picks for a passer rating of 64.8. So yeah he was trash.
maybe the head being so far between JDs cheeks has affected your vision. You are surprised that week after week people complain, when week after week it just looks worse and worse? I think you a little slow on the uptick son.
Son? Lol, ok. I willing to give it some time. When Mac left, this roster was a train wreck. Then they hired Gase who we all can agree upon was a fucking disaster. Finally they brought in Douglas to basically rebuild this steaming pile. He inherited Gase and Darnold. Rome wasn't built in a day. They say you can't judge a draft class for 3 years. You certainly can't judge a rookie QB after 5 games. As I see it JD got rid of an overrated "safety" looking for QB money and got 2 1st round picks in return (ask any Seattle fan if they are happy with that trade.) He dumped a QB that has all but proven he won't be anything more than a career backup and got a 2nd in return. He drafted what most people thought was the best QB left at #2 (In case you missed it, Fields has a worse passer rating than Wilson.) Yes he traded Williams who most people wanted gone. Do you think he makes any difference if he was on the team? He let Anderson walk and admitted be underestimated the market for him He had a good year last year and absolutely sucks this year. He has definitely made some mistakes. What GM doesn't. Sorry if I'm not ready to throw in the towel on him after 2 years. Same goes for Saleh. You don't fire a coach 6 games in. Again, I understand you don't like Douglas. You make that point about 10 times a day. You can scream until the cows come home and it won't make a difference. You've stated your opinion ad nauseam. If he ends up a complete failure I will be the first one to say you were right. Ok? They aren't, nor should they, firing JD during the year. Same with Saleh.
Whilst I agree with the process that's happening on one jets drive right now in team building. I hate this move and even though it's the Bucs 6th round pick we've given up, I think it screams more of a desperate move, which this team doesn't show to often. Hate the move, not bothered about flacco himself but really the eagles third choice QB who we had last year for a pick. Not good. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
I think White is likely to go the whole game unless injured. I also think he's going to be an improvement over ZW although maybe not by a lot. Why do I think that? Because in truth ZW has blown chunks for most of the season and improving on his play is not going to be hard for a mediocre journeyman QB. The thing we have to realize at this point is that a good veteran HC would have had a vet backup QB and would have benched ZW multiple times this season already. Joe Douglas set this failure on the field up by not providing a vet option for his rookie HC to go to when needed. This is all on him. Anybody posting "Fire Saleh" should be changing the latter part to "Douglas".
I heard a presser with Saleh - you could read between the lines: Mike will start this Sunday, but after that we will go "day by day". Unless Mike surprises plays really well, Flacco will end up starting soon. There is no way we spent a 6th round pick on a 3d stringer. Douglas' gamble on Mike/Morgan did end up a mistake, which was rectified with 6th round pick, but he is not a complete fool.
